    Recreate a Scene

As an up and coming director, I would like to recreate A Midsummer Nights Dream

in a camp setting, at Camp Carolina. The story would be told in by the council file and

take the shape of a Native American legend. The setting of the legend would be the great

outdoors as well as the villages of each tribe. The actual movie will be filmed in the Blue

Ridge Mountains of North Carolina. The cast should be as follows:

    Story Teller: Bradley Cooper

Campers/ Audience: Campers from an actual camp in the area

    Titania: Eva Longoria

    Oberon: William Levy

Little Indian Boy: any tan dark haired toddler

    Puck: Justin Bieber

    Pyramus: George Clooney

    Hermia: Kate Hudson

    Lysander: Tom Cruise

    Demetrius: Josh Duhamel

    Helena: Reese Witherspoon

The first lines of the story read by the story-teller/ narrator should read as follows.

They should be read in an enthusiastic voice.

STORY TELLER: Welcome to the mountains of the Carolinas young men. This is a land

with a history younger than the mountains but older than the trees. After the first trees

here started to grow, two tribes of Native Americans settled their villages in this fertile

land. These two tribes were the Navajo people and the Comanche people. Through an

unfortunate misunderstanding, these tribes became enemies and this is the story of what

brought about the tension between the two tribes and how they moved past their

differences and learned to complete in a friendly way, much like you all do her at Camp

    Carolina.

Titania and Oberon would be a part of the legend that the kids hear every session

about a battle started between the two different Native American tribes that once inhibited

the land. Titania and Oberon are two lovers in the story from the two opposing tribes that

now watch over the land. They have a child, a beautiful blue indian child, in secret. The

two parents eventually have a big fight becau se Oberons tribe kills Titanias father. This

leads to a war between the two over the sweet child. The child is currently in Titanias

tribes possession. Oberon is willing to do anything to get his sweet child back, including

calling on the Gods as well as using any and all of the traditional potions. Oberon, now the

chief of his tribe, decides to call on his most trusted friend, Puck. He gives Puck

instructions to go find one of the most ancient of flowers that has an oil that causes one to

fall in love instantly with the very next thing he sees. Once Puck has gathered these flowers

and concocted this magical love potion, Oberon takes the potion and places some on

Titanias eyelids whilst she is asleep in her teepee. Oberon instructs Puck to now fi nd

another flower that has the power to change the appearance of some random creature

negatively and to ensure that the ugly creature is the first thing Titania sees upon her

waking. The plan is successful and Titania does in fact fall in love with the random

creature, Pyramus. She is distracted long enough for Oberon to take the child, put some

other potion to inactivate the first potion on her eyes and woke her up again. When Titania

wakes up, she realizes that she has mistakenly loved Pyramus, the ugly creature, and then

realizes her love and appreciation for Oberon and the two decide that love is stronger than

war all is forgiven. The two then go back to their tribes and declare peace.

In addition to this chaos, Oberon, sitting on top of the mountain, sees some young

European settlers walking through the valley in distress. He first sees two arguing. He can

clearly see through the wood that the woman, Helena, is clearly madly in love with the man,

Demetrius. Oberon decides with his good instincts that the love is truly meant to be and

that he will have Puck find the young man on the way back from his task find an ugly

creature for Titania to fall in love with. Puck attempts to do this but unknowingly mistakes

another couple, Lysander and Hermia, and accidently casts the love potion upon then as

they rest across the field from each other. After Puck is finished with his second task, he

returns up the beautiful dark mountain landscape to report to Oberon. When he arrives

and discusses his doings with Oberon and realizes what has happened by looking on to the

field and noting the chaos, Puck and Oberon return to the field and cast a sleeping potion

among the settlers as well as the love potion and lay them in a way that they will wake and

fall in love with the person that they are truly meant to love: Demetrius to Helena and

    Lysander to Hermia.

The film would end with the storyteller at the camp speaking these few words to the

    campers.

STORY TELLER: And they all lived happily ever after.
