EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVESPURPOSE AND CONTENTthe purpose of this meeting is to provide state-of-the-art clinical research and vascular biology relating to vascular disease, with a special emphasis on surgical and endovascular therapy. the program will include presentations of original research by investigators interested in vascular disease. a portion of the program is dedicated to question and answer interaction between the presenters and the audience.

At the end of this activity, participants will be able to:

1) improve their vascular patient care by applying the latest advances in pharmacology and vascular medicine to their practices.

2) Return to their practice with an expanded knowledge of cross-sectional imaging techniques and ultrasound protocols for vascular evaluation, and an improved understanding of how to best integrate state-of-the-art imaging and operative techniques in hybrid oR planning and construction.

3) efficiently utilize diagnostic tools and practice resources in the after-hours workup and management of dVt.

4) Better understand the multiple potential sites of impingement that may cause neurogenic tos, and the impact of diagnostic workup on the selective application of release techniques, including pectoralis minor tenotomy.

5) identify practical techniques for managing failures of endovascular aneurysm treatment.

6) appreciate the changing spectrum of blunt injury to popliteal neurovascular structures, and thus understand need for aggressive workup of potential vascular injury in obese patients who sustain low-energy knee dislocations.

7) Better understand specific prophylactic modalities that can be employed to minimize spinal cord injury during thoracic aortic reconstruction.

EDUCATIONAL METHODSauthored papers supported by PowerPoint presentations, invited speakers, panel discussion with open and group discussion.
