Mighton Funeral Home has a longstanding tradition of providing service

with compassion, honesty, fairness and without prejudice.

The following is an outline of the services available through our firm. The

celebration of the life of a loved one is truly as unique as the individual and we

encourage you to share your ideas. We will gladly assist in bringing that special

touch to your service.

Payment terms: Net 30 days, interest at 1 ½% per month after 30 days (18% per year). Accepted methods of payment are cash or cheque.

Professional & Staff Services:

Basic Professional Fees (requires basic facility charge)This service is for the availability and professional services of a licensed Funeral Director, available 24 hours a day, 365days a year. Consultation, arranging, direction and organization of all aspects of your individual needs and wishes. Italso includes services in preparing contracts, correspondence and invoices. A basic professional fee is payablewhenever we provide services.

Co-ordinating Rites And CeremoniesCo-ordination of all rites and ceremonies, before, during and after they have been provided, including services andsupplies provided by us as well as those provided by third party suppliers. Co-ordination of services with the hospital,nursing home or cemetery/crematorium for removal and final disposition.

Staff Services For Visitation (requires facilities for visitation)All necessary preparation for visitation period(s), direction of visitors and family, receiving and arranging floral tributes,accepting memorial donations, assisting with religious or fraternal rites or services and cleaning after and between thevisitation periods.

Staff Services For Ceremony (requires facilities for ceremony onsite/offsite)Preparing for the funeral, staffing the funeral home, co-ordinating parking and seating of family and friends, acceptingmemorial donations and receiving floral tributes.

Basic Preparation Of Remains (requires facilities for preparation/embalming/shelter)The general handling of the body and necessary safety precautions. Includes dressing, cosmetology, washing andplacement of the body in the casket and setting of facial features for identification or viewing without embalming.

Embalming Of Remains (requires basic preparation of remains)The preparation, preservation and disinfection of the deceased. It is not a requirement of the law but is stronglyrecommended with open casket viewing or other special circumstances. Our professional funeral directors will make arecommendation based on the condition of the body and expected service needs. Embalming is the process of replacingblood and bodily fluids with chemical preservatives.

Transfer Of Remains To Funeral Home (requires initial transfer & service vehicle)This includes the staff necessary for the transfer of the deceased from the place of death to the funeral home. If thedistance traveled is greater than 25 km an additional charge of $1.50/km round trip will be applied.

Facilities:

Basic Facilities (requires basic professional fees)This is a minimum charge made in all cases for the use of our facilities and equipment. Includes use of parking lot,public areas of the funeral home, arrangement office, casket display room and other facilities and equipment required bythe Funeral, Burial and Cremation Services Act 2002 for operation of a licensed Funeral Home.

Facilities For Visitation (requires staff services for visitation)Includes use of all public areas of the funeral home including visitation room, general office, religious equipment, parkingareas and lounge for visitation period(s). This charge also applies for the necessary set-up time and equipment toconduct the visitation services at an off-premise location.

Facilities For Ceremony (requires staff services for ceremony)Includes use of all public areas of the funeral home including visitation room, general office, religious equipment, parkingareas and lounge for ceremony. This charge also applies for the necessary set-up time and equipment to conduct theceremony or memorial service at an off-premise location.

Facilities For Preparation, Embalming, ShelterIncludes provision of a sanitary room with the necessary equipment and supplies required to embalm or transfer thedeceased person. This room is used in all cases and provides a secure holding area. This charge applies whenever thebody is in our facility for any purpose.

UNDERSTANDING OUR SERVICES

Automobiles:

Funeral Coach: Transportation of the deceased to the place of the ceremony and/or cemetery. If the distance traveledis greater than 25 km an additional charge of $2.00/km round trip will be applied.

Lead Car: Transportation of the clergy as well as leading the funeral procession. This vehicle may be used to transportthe cremated remains of the deceased to the place of ceremony and/or cemetery.

Transport Remains & Service Vehicle (requires transfer of remains to funeral home): Provision of a properlyequipped vehicle necessary for the transfer of the deceased from place of death to the funeral home. Provision of avehicle for filing documentation necessary for our services and any other trips in conjunction with the services we areproviding. This is a flat rate charge for all services that we provide.

Administrative:

Documentation (Permits, Forms, etc.)Obtaining necessary information to complete legal documentation required for the disposition of the deceased person,arranging for filing and registration of the death, procurement of the medical certificate of death, obtaining the burialpermit, completing cremation application, obtaining coroner’s certificate and providing 12 proof of death certificates.

Funeral Notice PreparationThe composition and creation of funeral notices for the requested newspapers, radio and websites. This does notinclude the actual cost of the funeral notices in the newspaper or on the radio which are handled as disbursements
