Quint'AdegaWine Tourist Resort [Academic Final Project]
The Quint’Adega Tourist Resort, located in Burgães, Santo Tirso, is an establishment dedicated to the
Green Wine [characteristic wine of Vale do Ave region].
It has an unique tourist concept much bound by a target audience, wine lovers.
The aim of the project was to present the customer a differentiated and refined space allowing renew the
city image and the inclusion in Green Wine Routes program.
The building is housed in an old wine field, with it’s main facade facing the West.
The main entrance is in the same facade West however there is a north side en-trance for loading and unloading and another in side of the Rising that allows access to the garden outside.
The driveways are subdivided in cars [2 entries] and agricultural vehicles [3 entries].
The reception, with a ceiling height [6 meters] is by itself an area of greatharmony like a lobby of a rural hotel.
The white colors and the great windows with oak laminate flooring provide sen-sations of tranquility and comfort. The interior garden has a strong scenic character and allows the space is illumi-nated during the day and night.
The restaurant is characterized by large gaps facing the West and the group table in solid wood that is inserted inside of glass structure.
This provides individuality and refine-ment to those who want to join in group and enjoy the wine list and served delicacies.
| The Wine tourism is a program in which the user or customer in addition to taste and prove wine, enjoy landscapes, uses tourism equipments like bars, hotels (among others), taste the local cuisine and participate in production of the wine. |

Casa das ArtesRural Tourism - Aldeias do Xisto
Located in Almaceda, Martim Branco is part of the net of Aldeias do Xisto, whose purpose is to renew and enhance cultures and regions once that suffered
the consequences of the rural exodus. The Casa de Artes e Ofícios is located in the Rua da
Bica, number 4. It’s an old house that in 2006 suffered a reintervention in order to reactivate the
traditional activities. Here we recall the flax culture, the loom and the
Almaceda mills. In this building still works a Shop of
Aldeias do Xisto.
The recovery project enables Martim Branco’s people may enjoy a space that there is much need.
A unique environment where it is pos-sible for them to overcome barriers inherent of age. This building is in itself a cognitive and physical stimulator for all the habitants of the village, about fifty elderly.
Is projected a house in which in addi-tion to hosting and conviviality you can purchase fresh vegetables (locally grown), go to the barber and to attend school as before. The classroom is recreated just like the 60s and binds factors and traditional materials with the new technology.
The bar of the Casa das Artes is the daily meeting place of all seniors who choose a shadow terrace while tasting the appetizers to the soundof a dominoes placed on the gaming table. The rooms, flanked by wainscoting, date back to the last century, but the furniture of Boa Safra provides a refine-ment to hosting area.
In this context, the local is designed for the Martim Branco habitants but also for the generation of 80s and 90s do not feel any lack of interest in visiting the Aldeias do Xisto.

EstigmaLighting Design - Academic Project
Estigma has a black aluminum lamp shade and a mask made with portuguese material Vime.
Estigma is an academic conceptual lamp that repre-sents the origin / hypocenter of the smell.
It is inspired by the plants with the best smell.
These has one floral stigma where it initiates the germination of pollen.
This is where the essence of smell is held and on that basis the lamp is a floral stigma cut so we can view
the natural material never seen before, smell.
