Dear STOHN Member,
Molar -Incisor Hypomineralization (MIH) is the failure of toot
enamel to mineralize during development, causing teeth to bat higher risk for decay and cavities.
MIH poses a challenge for clinicians during diagnosistreatment and prevention, particularly due to lack oawareness. The researchers are hoping to learn how ofteMIH occurs among children in South Texas aged 6 to 14 years
Clinicians who choose to participate are asked to take patien
demographics and record the presence of MIH among 6 to 1year old children who present for a dental exam. Participatinclinicians will first obtain consent from the child’s parent oguardian and then will complete the data collection form.
