Mike Lathrop, CMDSM Honored By Chicago MSMA, PCCCHICAGO, IL -- Since 1975 Mike Lathrop has been

an active part of the mail industry. His impact goesbeyond managing mail operations: for years he hasbeen a leading educator, helping develop mailprofessionals in Chicago and around the nation.

And for his service, the Chicago Chapter of the MailSystems Management Association honored him withtheir Lifetime Achievement Award at its Novembermeeting.

The MSMA award comes on the heels of theChicago PCC presenting him with a RecognitionAward earlier in the Fall. Lathrop has served inleadership positions in both organizations.

Lathrop is the Past President of the MSMA ChicagoChapter and served as Regional Director on the MailSystems Management Association National Board ofDirectors. His industry experience includes variousdepartment head level roles with government,non-profit educational, private and public corporationorganizations.

Currently he is Mail Services Manager at theMoody Bible Institute where he has served for manyyears. His work at Moody was recognized in 2008 asthe “Mail Center of the Year.” In 2004, he was namedthe MSMA Manager of the Year.

Lathrop is a frequent speaker at MAILCOMconferences, local MSMA, PCC, and other industryevents. He has instructed thousands of mail anddistribution professionals in management, security,

and College & University operations. At the LasVegas MAILCOM his presentation “The FiveLanguages of Appreciation in the Workplace” wasone of the highest scored at the conference.
