DFS SPOTLIGHT: HOLLY WOOD BURBANK AIRPORT - ORGANIZATION AT ITS FINEST The images below were taken at our Hollywood Burbank Airport. The operation, led by Director Hugo Pulido,

has consistently earned kudos from our customers and our operations team members for organization. You can see that it’s not just about equipment and supply organization, but employee breakrooms and information

boards are equally important. Maintaining organization throughout all aspects of the operation is a vital part of this location’s success. Great job Burbank and Hugo!

Why organization is important One of the very first things we do when DFS starts up a new location is to assess and clean up the janitorial closets, supply rooms and breakrooms. One of the most important lessons we teach is to maintain the organization and cleanliness of your storage spaces and closets. Why? What does it matter? And more importantly, why is it an integral piece of the foundation of any DFS Janitorial Program?

Because it DOES matter. SAFETY First and foremost, its about your safety. A well organized closet with proper shevling, approriate storage techniques and dispensing units prevents from falling objects, possible injuries, chemical mislabeling, and chemical spills. GOOD EQUIPMENT Organization and routine checks of equipment also ensures that it is all in good working condition or is sent for repairs. INVENTORY CONTROL Organization provides accuracy on inventory control and ordering, and access to necessary and appropriate supplies. so you have what you need daily. PRESENTATION Janitorial and supply closets are a direct reflection of our performance. When a closet is untidy it sends a message to our customers, and their customers, that the cleaning in the facility is sub par. How can a facility be clean if the closets aren't clean? Organized closets show that we care and demonstrate that we desire to perform well.
