LIBRARY
As the year draws to an end we are asking that all students return their books to the
library, in order for us to assess damages and missing books. Please endeavour to
search those shelves at home and return any that are found to the library as soon as
possible.
A very big thank you to Jade Heller for her generosity in making and donating 10
beautiful new cloth library bags for students at our school. Sometimes students
forget their bags or are unable to find one, so Jade thought it would be a great idea
for the library to have its own supply. Thankyou Jade!!!
Our wonderful Chess team at last Sunday’s tournament in Sydney.
One –Day Teams NSW Finals
Last Sunday, our one-day chess team of Aiden Bird, Fergus
Connick and Scott McGoldrick travelled to North Sydney Boys’
School to compete in the one-day chess finals against teams
from 50 other NSW teams. Some of the teams that they met
were Westport PS, Epping Heights PS, Blacktown South PS,
Deniliquin Christian School, Tacoma PS, St Ives North PS and
Hazelbrook PS. Our team was very successful, finishing about
middle of the field against some very strong metropolitan
schools. Thank you once again to our supporters and drivers
(Mrs Connick and Mr Walker) and of course to Mr and Mrs
Cummins for travelling once again to support our school chess
teams.
A very big congratulations to all of our Chess players this year!!
