Mini Evaluation 2

What went well?One aspect of the poster which I think has worked well is the superman carrying a can of IRN BRU. I think this is effective because it appears as though Superman is actually carrying the drink whilst he is flying which gives a visual representation of Superman drinking the drink and it gives him his energy. Another aspect of the poster which I think has worked well is the title/main headline. It stands out from the page and pops to ensure the viewer see’s it immediately, grabbing their attention.

What didn’t work as well?One thing about the poster which I do not think has worked as well as I would have liked it to is the over all layout as there is a lot of empty spaces round the poster and a large empty space at the bottom of the poster. Another area of the

What went well?One of the positive aspects I think I have about this poster is the general layout. I think everything is evenly spaced out so that it is not all blending together but there is also not masses of empty space either. Another part of the poster which I think has worked well is making superman carry a can of the drink whilst he is flying. This makes it seem as though the can has powered him an given him the ability and energy to fly. It also makes it seem instantaneous and as though superman has started flying and gained a boost of energy before having chance to dispose of the can.

What didn’t work as well?The headline at the top of this poster has not been as successful as I would have liked it to be. When I planned out the poster I was aiming for more bright and vibrant shades of blue and orange to attract the viewers eye and make them interested. If I was to do this again or go back and make alterations, I would choose brighter shades of the colours and also remove the bevel and emboss overlay as I feel this has darkened the colour tones also.
