Congratulation to Katrina O’Hara (President) and Ross Meinicke (Vice-President) for taking on these vital roles for 2019. Thanks very much to Roland Taylor (President), Christina Goodchild (Vice President), Kayla Porter (Secretary) and Katrina O’Hara (Treasurer) who have stepped down from their executive roles on the P&C this year. These people have volunteered a massive amount of their own time to manage and run our P&C over many years and I sincerely thank them on behalf of our entire school community. Our P&C is still looking to fill two positions on the executive committee. Treasurer—this role entails…
⇒ Collating cash payments and banking each fortnight (or as required) ⇒ Prepare monthly financial statement for P&C meetings ⇒ Paying wages for tuckshop convenor and book keeper
Secretary—This role entails… ⇒ Recording and distributing minutes from each P&C meeting ⇒ Collating incoming and outgoing correspondence (mostly emails)
Our P&C is also calling for expressions of interest for a book keeper for 2019. This will be a paid position working approx. 1-3 hours per week. The book keeper would be responsible for :
⇒ Collating cash payments and banking each fortnight (or as required) ⇒ Paying wages for tuckshop convenor ⇒ Assisting the Treasurer to prepare monthly financial statements
If you are interested in this position, please email [email protected] with a Resume/CV and your hourly rate etc.
Walk for Autism On Friday 29th March all students and parents are invited

https://www.walkforautism.org.au/ To participate, we are asking students to meet at Northview Park from 8.00am. We will depart
the park at 8.15am and should arrive at school approximately 8.30am. Students will meet in the
hall following the walk for a special guest presentation by Kea Blagoev who is a popular local
Mackay artist with autism. Following her talk with our students, staff and parents, Kea has
offered to run an art workshop for selected students with autism and their friends—all free of
charge. Mrs Ely will be organising students to attend this workshop. Key details

A NOTE FROM YOUR
SCHOOL PHOTOGRAPHER
School photos are almost upon us again! The school has engaged MSP Photography to create
our school records this year and you are invited to purchase prints of your child.
On photo day, every student will be photographed regardless of whether you are purchasing or
not.
Your child will bring home a personalised order envelope from the photographers. Please take
care to read and follow all the instructions carefully. This will ensure your order is processed
smoothly and efficiently and will help you to avoid any late fees.
For those of you ordering online, you will notice a new, improved version this year. Please take
care to follow the instructions carefully and ensure you log onto www.msp.com.au to enter your
child’s shootkey.
Additional order envelopes are available from the school office for separated parents, blended
families and grandparents. You will need to collect these on or before photo day and give
it to the photographer on photo day. Be sure to write “Mum’s order” or “Dad’s order” on top of
your envelope.
To order a sibling or friends photo, please collect Sibling and Friends Order Envelope from the
school office on or before photo day, or order it online at least 24 hours in advance.
Please note: Sibling photos are only for siblings who all attend the school.
If your child has been photographed in a special group (ie sports team or leadership team), order
envelopes will be available in the weeks following photo day. Please watch this newsletter for
information when they will be available.
As school staff are unable to help with photography enquiries or payments, please direct your
questions and comments directly to MSP Photography by phoning
