Laboratory in Abuja manned by well
trained personnel in modern forensic

riot control, with option to resort to live
ammunitions only in critical situations.

Laboratories established in each Geo-
political Zone networked to the Main

modern operational equipment capable of
policing the Country from the air, land and

NPF procured 4 Nos Bell 412EP 1FR
Helicopters.
– Supply of 5 Nos customized Bell 412EP 1FR
Helicopters. With this delivery, the Nigeria
Police now has in its fleet 9 Nos Bell
Helicopters, and a Cessna Citation XW Aircraft
for high level command and control duties.

• 1203 Nigeria Police officers are serving in
seven (7) United Nations-led and one (1) AU-
led peacekeeping operations respectively.
• 648 which is made up of 534 men and 115
women are deployed as Individual Police
Officers (IPOs) in various peacekeeping
operations,
• 539 composed of 401 men and 138 women
are deployed in four (4) Formed Police Units
(FPUs) as follows:

Mission in Liberia (UNMIL),
• One unit of 140 officers in the United
Stabilization Mission in Haiti (MINUSTAH),
• Two units of 140 officers each in the United

• The Nigeria Police is also supporting the AU
Mission in Somalia, (AMISOM) where eight officers
are currently serving.
