2ND CHINA INTERNATIONAL IMPORT EXPONovember 2019
Shanghai, ChinaChina International Import Expo (CIIE) 2019 is the 2nd edition of the International Import Exhibition to be held from 5th-10th November 2019 at the National Exhibition & Convention Center, Shanghai, China. It is hosted by the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China and Shanghai Municipal People's Government.
CIIE 2018 was attended by 172 countries, regions and international organizations, more than 3,600 companies in a total exhibition area of 300,000 square meters, and more than 400,000 Chinese and Foreign Buyers. 29 Sri Lankan companies exhibited their products in 2 pavilions under Food & Agriculture Section and Gems & jewellery Section during CIIE 2018 and successfully explored business opportunities with the counterparts.
The EDB with the assistance of Sri Lanka Consulate General in Shanghai and other Government Promotional Agencies is making arrangements to organize the followings at 2nd CIIE.• Sri Lanka product pavilions at Food & Agricultural Products Section & Quality Life
Section• “Sri Lanka Country Promotion Forum” with B2B Networking Session• Sri Lanka National Pavilion to promote country’s trade, travel, tourism & investment
PRODUCTS TO BE DISPLAYED AT THE SRI LANKA PRODUCT PAVILIONS:1. Quality Life – Apparel & Accessories, Coir & Coco Shell Based Products, Tableware &
Kitchenware of Porcelain, Beauty & Personal Care Products, Pillows & Mattresses of Latex, Gems & Jewellery
2. Food & Agricultural Products – Ceylon Tea, Spices & Essential Oil, Confectionary Products, Processed Food, Fresh Fruits, Seafood, Coconut Based Products Other potential products under above themes would also be considered
COST OF PARTCIPATION & SELECTIONThe total cost of the booth, hotel accommodation, freight and clearance of exhibits, any duties applicable in clearance of exhibits etc. will have to be borne by the participants. The EDB may reimburse a part cost of the 9 sq.mt. booth. The EDB will contribute towards the branding, publicity & promotion of the country at CIIE Shortlisted applicants will be interviewed by a Selection Committee including the representative of relevant government agencies. The final decision on the selection is taken by the Trade Fair Authority in China.
