Brothers, it was an honor and a privilege to serve as the membership chairman for your State President Ed Connell and the State of Minnesota. Although we fell 495 members short of NET GAIN, there are many Broth- ers to thank. I want to thank all of 621 members that did sign at least one new member this year! That sounds like a lot of members but only represents less than 4% of our total membership. As we look forward to Mike "Hanny" Hanson's year as the new State President, let's try to tar- get the other 96% and get them involved in membership. Of the 621, I would like to thank the 225 that signed two or more members. My sincere congratulations to the top five this year: Ron Ankrum from Owatonna and Larry Sil- verthorn from Bemidji signing 32 members, in third place Wes Skochenski from St Cloud with 33 members, in sec- ond place Jake Fee from Crookston with 51 members, and this year's leader Bob Kuschel from Grand Rapids with 91 members. Before Ed's year, Bob asked Ed: 'what can I do to help you'. Ed told Bob:, 'I'm going to need members'. Bob, you did your part and did it well! An- other interesting statistic from this year, the top 50 pro- ducers signed up 46.6% of all members signed up. I want to thank the whole membership team for their ef- forts to promote membership this year. On a sad note, let's take a moment to remember the 307 reported deceased members from the past year. If we wish to continue to grow as an organization, we will have to continue to strive for NET GAIN plus. WE, AS EAGLES, make a significant impact on our local communities. As we continue to be LEADERS OF THE PACK FOR THE FOE, let's blow our own horn and pro- mote ourselves as People Helping People, and let every- one know what we do and why we do it! Give those nonmembers a reason to join! As this chapter closes, a new one starts with Mike 'Hanny' Hanson, as incoming State President, and his membership team led by Terry 'two bits' Lubitz. Re- member, keep those membership applications handy, Hanny! As entertainer and Eagle Bob Hope use to say "THANKS FOR THE MEMORIES.'' RETURN SERVICE REQUESTED

Be a Leader of the PackEagle Brothers:

My last month as President, can’t believe how fast this year went by. I must apologize for miss-ing so many events in May (and early June) as Mother Nature was not at all cooperative and far as let-ting us plant and getting into the fields. We were just getting started when we should have been almostdone with the field work. So again, I am sorry for missing your Eagles’ events.

The drawing for the raffle tickets will be held at the State Convention in Mankato. Even though the tick-ets say June 22nd, that was a misprint. We will draw on Friday June 15th. We have all this cleared with theMN gaming commission and the Confidence Learning Center. We want the Aerie and Auxiliary to be present, sothe drawing will be right before the Hospitality hour on Friday. Thank you to everyone who helped sell and/orbought tickets! Sherry and I appreciate that very much and the Camp thanks you! Be sure to get any ticketsthat you have sold turned in for the drawing!

Thank you to everyone who signed up members this year! We had a great year! My Membership Chairman,John Tobie will explain all the membership details.

Keep those Membership Applications handy; keep signing up members for Hanny for next year. We need tokeep this great organization going strong into the future. I want to wish Hanny good luck during his year as State Wor-thy President. I know he will do an excellent job.

Again, I want to thank all my Eagle brothers and sisters for all the kindness and hospitality shown me duringmy year and for all the support and friendships as well. Thank you – Thank you!!

See you all at the State Convention in Mankato!Be a Leader of the Pack for the FOE!
