INTRODUCTION AND CALL TO ORDER DirectorRiveracalledthemeetingtoorderat7:00pmintroducinghimselfandDirectorsSchubertandTann. GUESTS DirectorRiveraintroducedtheSuperintendentandaBoardMemberoftheTomballISDwhospokewiththemembershipinreferencetotheupcomingschoolbondelection. Director Rivera introduced Deputy Kendrick the community’spatrol officer. Deputy Kendrick reviewed the security status report andencouragedthemembershiptogetinvolvedwiththeircommunityandtolookoutfortheirneighbors. Mr. Castleman ofAlliedWaste was introduced and addressedthemembershipconcerningwastepickup.Severalquestionswerebroughtupsuchaswrongbillingandmissedpickups.Thepossibilityofarecyclingprogramwasalsodiscussed. ESTABLISHMENT OF QUORUM Director Rivera confirmed with Ms. Brown of SCS Management thatquorumhadbeenestablished. NOMINATIONS Director Rivera opened the floor for nominations. No nominations were offered, floor was closed. Mr.CarlZeitlermotioned thatwithonepositionopenandonenomineethatMr.MarkSchubertbevotedinbyacclimation.Mr.Mark McDuffie seconded the motion. With majority in favor and onlyoneopposed,motionpassed. FINANCIALS The 2006-year end financials and the 2007 projected budget were provided for review. Director Rivera reviewed the 2007-projected budget.Severalquestionswereaskedinreferencetolandscapingandfutureplans. CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS/MAJOR EXPENDITURES Director Schubert reviewed the 2006 Capital Improvementsaccomplishedwithinthecommunity. ARCHITECTURAL CONTROLS Director Schubert thanked all volunteers currently serving onthe architectural control committee for their commitment to thecommunity.Healsostatedthatthecommitteewaspresentlyseekingadditionalvolunteers. DirectorSchubertacknowledgedthatthebiggestconcernatthis

Hestatedthatthecommitteehadworkedformonthstocomeupwithwhattheythoughttobethebestsolutioninthismatter,howeverduetoa large response theBoardwaswilling to reviewandpossiblymodifytheguideline. Several polls were taken to obtain the overall view of themembershipinattendance. Mr.BrianGreymotionedtokeepthecurrent guidelines, with the restrictions as to where flags could be flown, number of flags and the type of flag. However the American flag would be exempt from the restriction. The American flag could be flown from any location of choice, with the exception of a freestanding flagpole. Mr. McDuffie seconded the motion. Motion carried. AdiscussionfollowedwithadecisiontohavetheACCcommitteetofollowuponthisguidelinewithpossiblefurtherchanges. DirectorSchubertpresentedinformationhehadreceivedontheopeningoftheSpringCypressentrancestatingthatitmaytakeseventonineyearsbeforeSpringCypresswaswidenedandtheentranceopened.Howeveritistheobligationofthedevelopertoopenthisentrance,asitwasplattedasanentrancetothecommunity. Director Tann gave out certificates of appreciation to those members whohadhelpedthroughouttheyear. There being no further business to address the meeting adjourned at9:10pm.

Chinch bugs can still be aproblem.Shrubs and Trees: Water deeper than you would your lawn. Prunebackplantsthatgetoutofshape.Checkplantsfrequentlyforinsectanddiseasedamage.Donotpruneazaleasfortherestof the year; they start forming spring flowers in the fall.Annuals and Perennials: Remove old spent flowers. Prune backplants thatget too leggy.Fertilizemonthly throughthesummer.Wateriscriticaltoshallowrootedplants.Checkplantsfrequentlyforinsectanddiseasedamage.Plantmumsthismonth.Check lawn area for brown patch and treatifnecessary.Prepare home greenhouse for winter.Apply fall and winter fertilizer to all areas.
