MINUTES 1. Welcome 5.30pm

4. Business Arising From Minutes

11 Hazel will move on the welcome signage for the area after the hospital and pensioner rebate issues are over, so this item is on the backburner for now. 12 Susan to assist Martin in garnering more ABBTA members by approaching businesses. 14 Martin is currently writing the letter re. unfair council advertising of market to Cr. Wainwright 15 Hazel has paid for the defibrillator. Hazel to ask for 15 people for training in defibrillator usage at the shopping centre. 16 Hazel to send details of tax agent Ms Hartigan to Susan Benger to organise a tax session with McLaren Vale and Willunga BAs. 9 Hazel to make an appointment with Annette for Monday 16th. So that Martin can pay ABBTA bills whilst Hazel is away.

19 The domain name issue with the winery is on hold for now. 21 The combined Christmas pageant and Carols will not happen as Andrew Downes and Nicole did not want a combined event.

22 Martin requested more photos for a social page on website and will link it to FaceBook – this is ongoing. 24 Martin to set up password access webpage so committee members can read correspondence in/out. Hazel suggested that Martin forward all correspondence in/out to a correspondence email address because there is a huge amount of correspondence. 25 Martin has sent email to market stallholders. 26 Hazel to contact Patrycja re. the logo development. 27 Six corflutes for TDU are done $50 each. 28 Meetings for Friday and Saturday for the TDU were completed. 29 Hazel was arranging purchase of generator for committee to buy and this was passed. 30 Hazel asked council if a path can be blocked for the TDU – this was done. 31 Jess is still currently revamping the market forms. 32 The formation of a working committee for TDU 2016 is pending 33 We are to looking at an AGM in July and introducing social membership which permits voting rights. This will be complete in a few months. 34 Martin to talk to local businesses to ascertain viability of VMA, is ongoing. 35 Anatoly to type minutes during meeting. Martin to provide computer for this. 36 Hazel to meet Evelyn Roth at Southern Forum to discuss painting of ABBTA 6m x 6m marquee cover.

6. Reports 6.1 Chair's report: Hazel proposed that Martin receive $100 for petrol for the year. Steve seconded. Passed. Item 36 discussed, Hazel to meet Evelyn Roth. 6.2 Secretary's report: Martin again described huge amount of correspondence and collation methods were discussed. Hazel proposed an email address called “Correspondence” to which incoming and outgoing email are forwarded. Martin to set up.   6.3 Treasurer's report:

7. Sub Committee Reports

7.1 Market Report The TDU budget was:

Attendance was approx. 5,000 to 10,000 persons, more likely the latter Problems were (refer emails): dust, rocks wire, complaints. Steve described “disorganization” and advised this could be resolved with more volunteers.

A number of emails were collected from stallholders when feedback was solicited re. complaints of dust. The consensus was that the TDU market was well organised but for dust problems and also rocks and wire on the ground. Overall, and based of FaceBook feedback the TDU was a great success but we needed more helpers to set up. Hazel and Martin discussed meeting with TDU council group re. complaints. Jaimi Bradshaw advised she would get back to us. There was no raffle so takings were $0.00 for this item. 7.2 Promotions & Marketing: Hazel proposed new corflutes for the market. 7.2.1 See item 26 – Hazel to contact Patrycja, re. logo progression. The current logo under devlopment is:

7.3 Events There was a discussion of our next event and of the community projects after the defibrillator. Hazel suggested for the networking event: The Rocky Ridge Winery, The Old Vine, Maxwell’s and The Surf Club.

7.3.1 There was a recapitulation of the TDU Council debrief. 7.4 Website Report: aldingabay.org.au was purchased and redirected to the present website following Jenny’s suggestion.

Martin advised thousands of page views for our website and also from Facebook posts with markets, the TDU and directory featuring in page views.

8. General Business

8.1 ABBTA activities during Hazel’s absence overseas (away from last week March, returning last week April). It was suggested that we cancel the ABBTA April 8th meeting and resume on May 13th using the break to complete work on outstanding action items. PASSED 8.2 There will be a “Godfather” (Lace Monitor) exhibit for the February ABBTA market. 8.3 Susan and Roma will help with the raffle for the February ABBTA market, with Hazel starting off the Raffle from 9am to 10am (approx.) 8.4 Re. the Motorcycle event – this may happen in 2016

9. Other Business:

Hazel to investigate storage of ABBTA gear at Lacey Drive. Hazel to contact Elle Dover and Jay Kimber re. unpaid TDU fees. Some discussion of freezer and a banner.
