Correspondence dated 22 July 2014 from Ms C. Elliot, State President CCWA.

RESOLVED (i) "That a Committee be formed of five (5) persons consisting of two (2) RSL

State Councillors and three (3) Women's Auxiliary State Councillors (one

Metropolitan, One Northern Country and one Southern Country) to review the

composition of Council areas and duties of members of CCWA (both Honorary

Officers and Councillors) be undertaken, and, the results, with any

recommendations to be discussed at the 2015 Congress. The implementation of

any recommendations to be in place by the opening of nominations for CCWA

positions in February 2017. "

(ii) “That the two nominated State Councillors be Messrs W.T. Harrigan and I.M.

Henderson.”

(i) RSL Rural Commemorative Youth Choir

Motion for State Council decision from Youth Council.

RESOLVED: (a) “That State Council agree to the supporting of the Rural Commemorative

Youth Choir by the RSL NSW Youth Council provided that:

1. there is to be no financial burden placed on Youth Council or State

Branch;

2. the choir should be made available for use at RSL NSW events where

practical; and

3. a State Councillor or a representative appointed by State Council be on the

organising committee.”

(b) “That permission be given for the use of the letters “RSL” in the new name of

the choir which will be ‘RSL Rural Commemorative Youth Choir Incorporated’.”

(c) “That the RSL NSW Youth Clubs Model Constitution be amended to reflect

the revocability of the use of the letters ‘RSL’.”

(d) “That the Committee of the Rural Commemorative Youth Choir adopt the

RSL NSW Youth Clubs Model Constitution and submit it together with its

application to the Department of Fair Trading to Incorporate under its new

name.”

(e) “That State Councillor Mr R.R. James be appointed the State Council

representative on the RSL Rural Commemorative Youth Choir committee.”

Administrative Functions of this Policy;

Acceptance of Invitations to Functions or other Visitation privileges will

be recorded as a perpetual Log with the RSL State Council minutes.

The RSL State President will guide all in the quality and content of the

presentation during visitation.

A standard report for all “Invitation or Visitation” will form part of the

RSL State Council minutes.”

Ratification of approval given in principle to purchase the property known as 280 Main

Road, Toukley for the estimated cost of $300,000.00.

RESOLVED: “That the approval to purchase be ratified.”

4. Boolaroo-Speers Point RSL sub-Branch

Seeking approval for the Trustees of Boolaroo-Speers Point RSL sub-Branch to sell the sub-

Branch property 92 Speers Street, Speers Point to Kenan Haskara and Firdevz Haskara, and

Portakaldali Pty Ltd for $425,000.00.

RESOLVED: “That approval be given for the Trustees of Boolaroo-Speers Point RSL sub-

Branch to sell the sub-Branch property 92 Speers Street, Speers Point to Kenan

Haskara and Firdevz Haskara and Portakaldali Pty Ltd, for the following terms:

(i) The sale price is $425,000.00 plus GST.

(ii) A Deposit of $42,500.00 representing 10% of the sale price is paid on the date

of exchange of the Contract.

AND

That RSL Custodian Pty Ltd is appointed fourth Trustee for Sale Proceeds.”

5. Catherine Hill Bay RSL sub-Branch

Seeking approval to donate $8,000.00 to the Swansea RSL sub-Branch for a proposed WWI

War Memorial for the Centenary of ANZAC.

Seeking approval to expend $13,139.78 on a new Office Computer System.

Seeking approval to expend up to $30,000.00 to fund a Feasibility Study for a capital

campaign to build a new Memorial Precinct.

RESOLVED: “That the matter be deferred while awaiting further clarification on the project.”

8. City of Wollongong RSL sub-Branch

Seeking approval to draw up and execute a lease between the City of Wollongong RSL sub-

Branch and the Figtree Bowling Club Ltd.

RESOLVED: “That approval be given to draw up and execute a Lease between the City of

Wollongong RSL sub- Branch and the Figtree RSL Bowling Club Ltd.

Term: Five(5) years;

Option: Nil

Commencing Rate: $50,000.00 per annum

CPI Review: On each anniversary of the Commencing Date of the

Lease

Lease Type: Model Lease.”

9. Bathurst RSL sub-Branch

Seeking approval to close the term deposit of $74,330.24 with St George Bank and transfer

the funds into the sub-Branch working account with Reliance Credit Union Ltd, and that a

new Term Deposit account be opened with ADCU for $160,000.00.

RESOLVED: “That approval be given.”

10. Seven Hills-Toongabbie-Wentworthville RSL sub-Branch

Seeking approval in principle to sell the property known as Wentworthville Memorial &

Community Bowling Club Ltd, 28 Pritchard Street, Wentworthville.

RESOLVED: “That approval be given in principle for the Trustees of the Seven Hills-

Toongabbie-Wentworthville RSL sub-Branch to sell the property known as 28

Pritchard Street, Wentworthville providing the trustees are satisfied that the terms

and conditions of the sale does not bring them into breach of their fiduciary

responsibilities;

AND

That such consent is given on the condition that the sub-Branch conduct a ballot

of all members, then holding of a further meeting to confirm the results of the

ballot and to pass a resolution to sell and to seek the consent of State Council

being given

AND SUBJECT TO

That RSL Custodian Pty Ltd be appointed an additional trustee together with the

three sub-Branch Trustees for the sale proceeds.”
