EXECUTIVE REPORT

The Midlands Infrastructure and Regeneration Conference & Expo is Midlands’ leading infrastructure and regeneration event, designed to bring together the full spectrum of infrastructure industry stakeholders to discuss existing and future infrastructure developments in the area.

MIRCE 2015 focused on design, development and delivery of capital projects in Power Generation andDistribution, Transport Infrastructure as well as Social Infrastructure – Housing, Education andHealthcare. The event addressed Midlands’ Infrastructure in its entirety, showcasing projects as well as fostering debate on the sustainable and inclusive development of regional infrastructure to support indus-tries and local communities.

“This was a thoroughly well organised conference and I particularly appreciated the support especially as my diary was so committed that I had little time to engage with the early organisational arrangements. I also found the conference content very interesting, well chaired by Jackie Sadek and great opening speech by Albert Bore”

NICK EBBS, VICE CHAIR, IGLOO

“The MIRCE conference is one of the most important events of the year, particularly in bringing together the various elements involved in economic and social regeneration to provide joined up solutions.”

CHAN KATARIA, GROUP CHIEF EXECUTIVE, EMH GROUP

“I was very impressed that the fi ve main areas for debate: transport, energy, housing, regeneration and investment, were all tackled in such depth in the one pacey day at the Midlands Infrastructure and Regeneration Conference. The delegates I spoke to all agreed it was a most worthwhile event. The content was excellent, and the buzz during the networking among the professionals involved was palpable. The organisers are to be congratulated on a conference which covered all the bases so very effectively. It was an honour to act as Chair, and I was delighted to be part of it.”

JACKIE SADEK, CHIEF STRATEGY OFFICER, RIO UKTI

TESTIMONIALS:

“MIRCE 2015 was a truly inspirational event. It was great to see such positivity around the future and importance of infrastructure projects to the economic and social life of the Midlands. I left feeling as though I had learned an awful lot about a wide range of infrastructure issues from housing to energy to transport as well as having enjoyed some thought provoking and occasionally feisty debate on a number of challenges that impact different types of infrastructure project in similar ways.”

LIAM SUMPTER, AREA DIRECTOR, NETWORK RAIL
