LITURGY OF THE WORD

Commentator: Let us all be seated to listen to the word of God.FIRST READING

Flordeliza: A reading from the Book of Tobit (8:4-9) Tobias rose from the bed and said to Sarah: “Get up my sister! You and I must pray and petition for Lord to win his grace and

Page 9: Missalette Darrell and Fatima

protection.” She stood up, and they began praying for protection, and this was how they began:

The body + and blood of your Lord, Jesus Christ.

Before he was given up to death, a death he freely accepted, He took the bread and gave you thanks. He broke the bread, gave it to his disciples, and said: “Take this, all of you, and eat it. This is my body which will be given up for you.”

When supper was ended, he took the cup. Again he gave you thanks and praise, gave the cup to his disciples, and said: “Take this, all of you, and drink from it. This is the cup of my blood, the blood of the new and everlasting covenant. It will be shed for you and for all so that sins may be forgiven. Do this in memory of me.”

Let s proclaim the mystery of faith:

All: Christ has died,Christ is risen,Christ will come again.

Priest: In memory of his death and resurrected, we offer you, Father, this life-giving bread, this saving cup. We thank you for counting us worthy to stand in your presence and serve you. May all of us who share in the body and blood of Christ be brought together in unity by the Holy Spirit.

Lord, remember Your Church throughout the world; make us grow in love, together with Benedict, our Pope; Jesse, our Bishop, and all the clergy.

Remember our brothers and sisters who have gone to their rest in the hope of rising again bring them and all the departed into the light of your presence.

Have mercy on us all; make us worthy to share eternal life, with Mary, the Virgin Mother of God, with the apostles, and with all the saints who have done Your will throughout the ages. May we praise You in union with them, and give You glory, through Your Son, Jesus Christ. EUCHARIST PRAYER

Priest: The Lord be with you

All: All also with you.

Priest: Lift up your hearts.

All: We lift them up to the Lord.

Priest: Let us give thanks to the Lord our God.

All: It is right to give him thanks and praise.

Priest: Father, all powerful and ever-living God, we do well always and everywhere to give you thanks. By this sacrament your grace united man and woman in an unbreakable bond of love and peace.

You have designed to chaste love and husband and wife for the increase of both the human family and of your own family born in baptism.

You are the loving Father of the world of nature; You are the loving Father of the new creation of grace. In Christian marriage you bring together the two orders of creation: Nature’s gift of children enriched the world and your grace enriches your Church.Through Christ the choir of angels and all the saints praise and worship your glory. May your voices blend with theirs as we join their unending hymn:

All: Holy, holy, holy Lord, God of power and might. Heaven and

Page 10: Missalette Darrell and Fatima

earth are filled with your glory. Hosanna in the highest. Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord. Hosanna in the highest.

Commentator: Please kneel for the Consecration.

Priest: Lord, you are holy indeed, the fountain of all holiness. Let your Spirit come upon these gifts to make them holy, so that they may become for us. “You are blessed, O God of your fathers; blessed, too, is your name forever and ever. Let he heaven bless you and all things you have made for evermore.

“It was you who created Adam, you who created Eve his wife to be his help and support; and from theses two the human race was born. It was you who said, ‘it is not good that the man should be alone; let us make him a helpmate like himself.” And so I do not take my sister for any lustful motive; I do it in singleness of heart. Be kind enough to have pity on her and on me bring is to old age together.” And she said with him, “Amen”. They both went to sleep for the night.

The Word of the Lord.

 All:    Thanks be to God.
