Argentina Argentineans highly value prosperity,

meaning people in poverty are often

overlooked by society. Some are even

forced to build their makeshift homes

next to the city dump.

No matter what the person’s socio-

economic status, CFCI-Argentina works

to show love and be bearers of hope.

In Latin America, Bolivia is one of the

poorest and least-developed countries

with a staggering poverty rate of 51

percent.

Though Brazil’s economy is one

of the strongest in South America,

35 percent of its population still

lives in poverty.

CFCI-Brazil works among the

poor in the city of Manaus, bring-

ing hope to many by offering

good meals, education, and the

possibility of a new life.

Medellín is located in the Andes Mountains of

northwest Colombia at an altitude of 5,000

feet. On the mountainsides are hundreds of

squatter communities.

CFCI-Medellín reaches out to these

communities with the Gospel - that is, with

hope.

Americans know Costa Rica as a

tourist destination. Beautiful

beaches, lovely resorts, and

wonderful weather. Yet the

fringes of the capital city of San

Jose give way to open sewers, dirt

streets, and houses made of

corrugated tin and scrap lumber.

the spiritual darkness here with

the Gospel of Christ by meeting

San Salvador is the largest, most

prosperous city in the nation. While

the downtown shopping areas are full

of sleek malls and tall buildings, other

areas of the city are rife with gangs

and weighed down by poverty.

CFCI- El Salvador is bringing the

Kingdom into this nation. Without

godly role models many youth join

gangs and fall into destructive life-

styles. CFCI offers hope to at-risk

youth through Soccer and addresses

the physical needs of families living in

impoverished neighborhoods through

the medical clinics. CFCI organizes

regular outreach efforts bringing

food, clothes, and the Gospel to the

poorest areas of the city.

Located on the Niger River, CFCI works

in Bamako, the largest city in Mali, with

two million people. It is the fastest-

growing city in Africa; many rural

workers moved to the city. As a result,

many of them live in abject poverty.

Thousands of children live on the streets

of Tijuana; many are taken advantage of

and abused. They long for a better life

and search for hope.

On the beautiful beaches of Tuxpan,

you’ll find broken-down homes and

hungry families. Tuki, CFCI’s big yellow

pick-up truck, drives up and down the

beach on Saturday mornings with bread

from a local bakery. Children and adults

run to it with outstretched arms—for

both the bread and the hugs they receive

from CFCI workers. This is a small way

to help bring change.

Nicaragua

Ravaged by recent civil war, poverty and

natural disasters, security has long

eluded the Nicaraguan people. The poor

economy has caused many to lose hope.

Only within the past 15 years have the

people experienced the beginnings of

restoration. Still, nearly half of the

population lives on less than $2 a day.

Innocent children suffer from

malnutrition, chronic health problems

and lack of proper education. In the midst

of these many difficulties, CFCI-

Nicaragua ministers to bring hope and

healing.

home, nearly half live in extreme

poverty. Most live in urban squatter

settlements cluttering the mountains and

hillsides outside major cities.

this CFCI city base, but CFCI-Spain

isn’t limited to that city. Even in the

midst of a country where only one

percent of the population are

evangelical Christians, this inner-

healing ministry goes to many

European and Asian nations, reaching

out with hope by means of renewal!
