PROCESS OF FILLING GAPS INTHE SYLLABUS
To identify the gaps in syllabus, with the requirements of both industry and society,
technical experts drawn from industry are included in the Advisory board of each
department. Department Advisory Board identifies the gaps in the syllabus based on course
outcome and suggests recommendations.
Measures to bridge the course level gaps include:
The topics to be covered beyond the syllabus in some of the courses are identified and the
faculty in charge of the courses are requested to cover these topics in the class.
Measures to bridge programme level gaps include:
o Organisation of industrial visit and industrial training to provide practical
knowledge about the subject.
o Conduct of short term courses/ invited talks to provide extra insight to major
development in the particular area.
