�MISSION STATEMENT: DANCESPORT FOR ALL

Our mission is to create a worldwide dancesport organisation that provides support, education, promotion and opportunities for all dancers in any genre on national and international level. With continued work to promote and obtain recognition for dancesport on a global basis in close concert with our national member bodies gaining government recognition and providing equal opportunities for all countries.

Our organisation will provide platforms for basic education in elementary/primary and secondary schools as well as higher education in dance associations, dance studios, dance academies. These platforms will create job-opportunities such as trainers, coaches, judges, managers, administrators.

The IDS goal is to create educational and real life experiences in a safe and structured environment that unites individuals who share the same passion from around the world. Our standardised and structured environment for all dance-forms created by experts over many years, will serve as a platform to organise Local, Regional, National and International Championships.

KEY OBJECTIVES

1. To practice DanceSports and to organise Local, Regional, National and International Championships.2. Provide a structure for introducing DanceSport in schools.3. Document, revise and update the Technical standards for all relevant dance forms.4. Standardise all Syllabi and Judging Criteria to provide continuity, clarity and transparency.5. Support and fund projects with equal opportunity for all dancers.6. Provide a merit for dance schools to ensure the quality and standards as laid down.7. Set up meetings all over the world to promote DanceSport and encourage alignment withGovernment Member Bodies.

Our vision is to inspire people around the world to participate in DanceSport and encourage them to play an active role in their communities and become Ambassadors of International DanceSport.
