A DAY OF REMEMBRANCE will take place next

Sunday, May 28, at 5:00 pm for Memorial Day and will

feature Soldier’s Best Friend, an Arizona organization

that pairs hurting servicemen with rescued dogs

trained for service. (A freewill offering will be taken.)

The Luke Air Force Base Honor Guard and our GBC

Sanctuary Choir will recognize and honor all veterans.

and invite a friend.

HARVEST AMERICA—GREG LAURIE CRUSADE

will be held at the University of Phoenix Stadium on

Sunday, June 11, at 6:00 pm. At the same time, the

crusade will be simulcast to our Worship Center. The

gospel will be clearly presented, so use the insert in

this bulletin and invite someone who needs to have

Jesus as their personal Savior.

COMMUNITY BIBLE STUDY A new 30-week series

on Tuesday mornings will begin September 19. It will

focus on 1 & 2 Corinthians. Registration forms are

available in the Connection Center and should be

mailed with the $35.00 fee as soon as possible because

space is limited.

HAVING TROUBLE VIEWING OUR WEBSITE? This

is due to certain browsers no longer supporting the

flash technology our site was built on. We are in the

process of mending that. In the meantime, our current

site continues to be fully functional and capable of ac-

cepting on-line giving, showing videos of services,

displaying bulletins and flyers of coming events, etc.

THE WOMEN’S PRAYER GROUP meets on Mondays

at 10:00 am and is open to any women interested in

joining together for prayer. For more information, call

Missionary of the Week

Our MidAmericas Area Member Development

and Care Program is gaining momentum! The

importance of having in-field Member Develop-

ment as a way to significantly decrease attrition

rates has been recognized by our director.

(World-wide for all mission agencies, attrition is

nearly 50% during the first four years of service.)

Our coordinator who developed this model

is doing a presentation for an international

group this summer.

Tim went to Southern Sonora, Mexico, with two

area members to visit a Uto-Aztecan tribe, who

until recently have been resistant to outsiders

and the gospel. After having been prayed over in

the name of Jesus, several people of their tribe,

including an elder, experienced healing. This

elder identified several areas where a Pioneers

team could help them. Please pray for God to

raise up a new team of missionaries prepared for

this work.

1. Pray for our MidAmericas Area Conference in

August. This happens every two years and is

a great time of fellowshipping, worshipping,

learning, and networking.

2. Pray for grace for one of our area couples who

has had a terrible tragedy in their family.

3. Pray for God to provide new team members to

serve with us at the area office in Tucson.
