Mistral SUP Boards 2013 Mistral Sup Boards 8‘6“ Wave Board The ideal board for 2-6 foot waves. Handles great in mushy waves where you need to generate more power, yet the board is well able to hold the rail in with faster & steeper waves. A good amount of tail kick ensures a snappy off the lip turn. The bottom shape features a single concave leading into a double concave in the center that dies into a flat tail. When paddling the flatter center line, helps you to catch the waves easier, when on the rail the board has a good amount of rocker therefore enabling you to turn tighter when engaging the rail in the bottom turn or off the top. The outline is slightly wider in the One foot off in order to generate more speed faster. The swallow tail helps to lengthen the outline of the board and lose some surface area in the top turn for better grip. An ideal board for 65-85kg riders. von 1 11

9‘2“ Wave Board The 9’2” has the same design as its smaller brother, but the outline has been drawn out to be able to hold the rail in slightly larger surf. Again with ample tail kick for a solid off the lip. The board has a great roll point just in front of the back foot which allows you to really set the bottom turn as you need. The bottom shape features a single

concave leading into a double concave in the center that dies into a flat tail. When paddling the flatter center line, helps you to catch the waves easier, when on the rail the board has a good amount of rocker

therefore enabling you to turn tighter when engaging the rail in the bottom turn or off the top. With its slightly higher volume than the 8’6”, the 9’2” is a great choice for those who also paddle in waves with more chop, as the board will give you little bit more stability. The board has a squash tail for a good grip and surface in the top turn. An ideal board for 75-90kg riders. 9‘8“ Wave Board We designed the 9’8” board to hold slightly bigger waves. It has a more pinned-out outline and will hold higher speeds. This design allows you to set the rail more easily once you engage the bottom turns in higher speeds. Like its 2 smaller brothers, this board has a great roll-point in the rocker line, allowing you to set the turn radius as needed. The board has enough tail kick to make it rock off the top. It comes with a round pin tail, ensuring you haven’t too much surface under your foot in the top turn with higher speeds. An ideal board for 80-95kg riders.

10‘6“ Crossover Board Mistral Crossover, the name says it all. At home in the Surf or on flat water. It has a wide body for stability, a long board type rocker to

catch the waves easy and enough tail kick to give the board a great pop in the bottom and top turn. The outline is drawn out to create stability; a fun board for all entry level to advanced riders alike. Ideal board for 50-110 kg riders.

12‘6“ M1 Race board The M1 12’6” board is designed by Abel and was worked through its paces by the Mistral team. 2011 Mistral team rider Gaetan Sene won his age division with this board in the 2011 edition of the Dana Point BOP. This board has an inverted bow shape, giving it an increased waterline whilst simultaneously contributing to a balanced ride when the volume of the board first enters the water. The tail has more volume, making it easier to stand on in the turns. The 12’6” is great for BOP style events, as you don’t need to move too much back & forth going out through the surf. The volume distribution on this boards helps guide the board through the white wash. The 12’6” is an extremely user friendly board and a great one in any long distance / race situation, since it allows you to concentrate on the paddle stroke instead of trying to stay on the board. Built with African wood in a sandwich construction, the board uses 0,6mm wood for its weight savings and 0,8mm wood in all impact zones. In the standing areas we use 2 x 0,8mm wood in a cross vein direction lay-out. This makes the board super strong, so it will not falter under your feet, no matter how hard you try to bang it up! Ideal for riders 50-80 kg 14‘0“ M1 Race board The M1 14’0” board is designed by Abel and was worked through its paces by the Mistral team. 9‘9“ Allround Board The 9’9” is an excellent all round board for those who’ve just entered the world of SUP. Its volume distribution is slightly to the front, allowing it to take off easily. The moderately rounded front rails help the board not to purl into the wave and its pinched rails allow it to surf well. In flat water situations the board is fast whilst paddling straight; for its size it is pretty stable too. This is a perfect board for entry to pro level riders who are looking for a family type board with easy access to the waves. An idea board for 55-75kg riders. 10‘7“ Allround Board Like its smaller brother, the 10’7” is a great entry level board. It will handle waves up to 4 feet with ease. Even though it has a similar design as the 9’9” board, this one has a single fin instead of a thruster setup. This board is a great wave catcher and provides very low paddling drag thanks to a straighter rocker line. The volume distribution is slightly to the front, allowing it to take off easy. 14“ Inflatable The design of this board comes from the time we did our original R&D for the Mistral Race board. To our surprise we found that - even though our inflatable boards are less stiff than our top of the line race boards - in various water conditions they are very hard to tell apart. Made out of a top quality drop-stitch material that will allow over 17psi pressure in the board, the outline of this board is very similar to our hard boards. The tail is a bit more drawn-out than the 12’6 but has a flat enough rocker to ensure the water length. The 14’0” comes with a dual core Eva for maximum grip and comfort. The brushed finish in the standing area enables the rider to paddle for longer distances in maximum comfort. Additional features are a storage net in the front and safety handles for safety, emergency & rescue situations. The 14’0” is not only a true weapon on the racecourse but also has the added bonus that it is easy to transport and store. Ideal for riders 70-100 kg. Quote Anders Bringdal “An amazing product with great performance. For all of us weekend warriors who like to paddle for fitness or fun, the inflatable board offers so much which I simply couldn’t do with a normal hard board. The fact that you can go toe to toe with any board on the market for speed and then have the kids use the board as a beach toy & trampoline without giving you a heart attack, is to me the main point of these boards. They are built to have fun. There is no need to worry about storage issues, rocks on the beach, dogs running over the board or kids bouncing on it. With this
