Step 1 Open up the Pages app and click "Create
Document", then "Blank"
Step 2 Tap the
icon, then tap "Document
Setup"

edit header.", tap the
rightmost column, then
tap "Page Numbers"
Step 4 Tap "1"

Step 5 Tap anywhere to the left of the "1", then type in your last name
❗Note: Be sure to add one space after your last name to ensure proper formatting

ReminderThough Pages should default to 12pt, make sure the font is
set to 12pt, as defined by standard MLA format.
Step 9 Scroll down and select Times New
Roman, then tap "Done"

Note: the following process can be completed before or after composing the actual piece. This example
shows the process being completed after the piece was composed for demonstrative reasons
Step 1 Tap the blue,
blinking cursor, then tap "Select
All"

ReminderPer MLA formatting, dates
should be [Day] [Month] [Year], where
the [Month] is not abbreviated.
ReminderPer MLA formatting, the
order for a proper header is: [Your name]
[Your teacher’s name] [The class name]
[The date], and it should all be aligned
to the right.
ReminderPer MLA formatting, your
title should be centered and all significant words should be capitalized, but it should
otherwise be completely unformatted.
ReminderPer MLA formatting, the beginning sentence of
every paragraph should be indented; to do this, tap the spacebar 5 times, or hit the
tab (—>|) button.
