Businessman Mike Timmonson returns to the Brazos Hotel with his wife, Michelle, for a getaway weekend. Mike is a regular customer who usually checks in alone. Receptionist Jennifer Wells welcomes the couple to the hotel.

With the custom Windows 8 “Check-in” application, check-ins have never been easier. Easy lets Jennifer do her job even better.

Using the Windows 8 Application Suite, Jennifer is able to give Mike a personalized welcome based on his previous stay history. This profile history is built through every interaction of all hotel employees with the guests during each stay.

Now that the guests are checked in, let’s call the bellhop to assist with their luggage.

Eric, the bellhop, is alerted to the front desk through his Windows phone to assist guests with their luggage. After delivering the luggage, Eric asks Mike and Michelle if he can be of further assistance.

Later that evening, Mike and his wife decide to go out for dinner. While his wife finishes getting ready, Mike heads downstairs to talk with the concierge who can help with suggestions to nearby restaurants.

Kate is the concierge with the Brazos Hotel, her job has been made easier and more engaging now that she has a Windows tablet. A notification alerts her that Mike is coming. Kate introduces herself and asks Mike about his stay. During the conversation Kate finds out that Mike and his wife are in room 205. She can use that to look up Mike’s guest profile.

Kate learns that Mike and his wife have show tickets at 9:00 PM. They would like to find a restaurant outside of the hotel and are in the mood for seafood. Kate uses her Windows tablet to pull up the Brazos Restaurant App, showing Mike what restaurants are located near the hotel and offering suggestions.

Kate realizes this is an opportunity to recommend another hotel service. She mentions the hotel’s car service can drop them off and get them back in time for their show. Mike thinks it’s a great suggestion and Kate calls for the car. Afterwards, Kate wishes Mike and his wife a great stay at the Brazos Hotel.
