We utilize QSE Integrated Management System to maintain all aspects of our operations, including Safe Work Method Statements, risk registers, asset management, incident / investigation management, document control & review and personnel management. Our system allows us to monitor, manage and control the critical areas within our business and allow us to operate at levels equivalent to Australian and International Standards.

INTEGRATED MANAGEMENT

Our Culture Our Business Mt Magnet Drilling is committed to ensuring the safety and health of their employees. We work safely in an environment that promotes the health and wellbeing of all employees. Our culture incorporates and harness's a strategic and systematic approach to "Coming Home Safely".

Through close contact between all levels of our business we are able to ensure our HSE culture is embedded. Open lines of communication from Offsider, Driller, Senior Driller, Supervisor, HSEC Manager, Operations Coordinator and Operations Manager allow us to gather feedback as well as deliver important Safety and Operational information to each specific area.

Near miss and incident reporting is openly encouraged and required. Our personnel have embraced the ideal that reporting any incident, especially a near miss, can dramatically decrease the likelihood of a reoccurrence or more serious incident.

Feedback is encouraged to flow multi-directional with Mt Magnet Drilling's operational structure, via regular toolbox meetings, one on one meetings and an 'open door' mind set at all levels of our business.

Hazard & Risk Management is critical to our business operations, with regular JHA's carried out for any tasks outside our regular scope of works. Although we have detailed Safe Work Method Statements for most aspects of our business, we encourage feedback and understand that these are living documents that require regular reviews and improvements.

Environmental Commitment

Protecting the environment and ensuring we can leave a work site as we found it is a high priority for our business. All our operations are equipped with drop sheets and spill control kits. Our personnel are internally trained to set up spill matting below all drilling machinery operations. We keep it a main priority to continually improve our systems, which includes selecting and using products that have minimal impact on the environment. As part of our commitment to the environment, we employ the System—360 solids separation unit. This unit eliminates the requirement for sumps and reduces the footprint of the drill pad. Additionally the unit is able to recycle the drilling fluids, all of these aspects lead to cost effective and environmentally friendly operations.

The Experience

Our management has a combined field experience of over 100 years drilling and associated activities. This experience has been gained in all types of formations from all over the world and in some cases, the most demanding conditions.

Countries including Australia, Turkey, East and West Africa, Chile and Argentina have been the source of this vast knowledge that is conveyed unconditionally, to our in house trained drillers and offsiders.

To ensure that our knowledge of drilling additives is current and effective, our drillers attend the Halliburton Mineral Exploration Mud School (Houston, Texas).

The subjects taught during the course include: mud weight & control, specific gravity of fluids, filtrate properties, lost circulation material properties & applications.

The training and information received is then converted into action when our personnel are required to come up with real world solutions to ground conditions and challenges.

Training

Inductions and training are a major part of our business, Not only do we carry out comprehensive internal inductions that cover all our high risk works and golden rules, we also utilise carefully selected Registered Training Organisations (RTO's) to assist our personnel improve their skills with high risk training, such as Forklift Operation, and other high risk work as identified by Mt Magnet Drilling.

Our personnel are qualified with Drilling Operations Certificates from level II to IV as per the industry best practice.

Regular assessments and VOC’s are conducted to validate our employee’s skills and ensure comprehensive underpinning knowledge has been obtained for our business specific equipment and operations.

Our personnel undergo pre-employment medical screening and functional assessments to guarantee our crew is fit for work and prepared to provide the highest level of service to our clients with absolute focus on safety first.

The Product

Our specialty is triple tube drilling, mostly in a geotechnical capacity, where core recovery is critical. Due to our vast experience in Iron –Ore drilling and many other unconsolidated formations, we possess the ability to persevere with adverse conditions in order to attain the best core integrity and recovery. Drillers that have attended the Halliburton Mineral Exploration Mud School (Houston, Texas), facilitate the effective application of additives and drilling techniques to ensure your goal of maximum core recovery, is achieved.

RC 450 Dedicated Reverse Circulation (RC) Rig

Our purpose built track mounted RC450 rig and auxiliary air unit can cater for the most adverse terrain. The inclusion of remote control operations also allows safe operation of the machines when loading/unloading or negotiating steep gradients.

Specialised Drilling The MP 250 is our specialised drill rig suitable for a low impact application. A favorite in environmentally sensitive areas and transferable to a pontoon , for lakes or skid for helicopter transport. With the ability to drill to depths: NQ/NQ3-250m; HQ/HQ3 180m; PQ/PQ3 60m and shallow 4”RC to 60m, the MP 250 is an ideal all terrain investigation option.

Support Equipment

During remote field operations, our camp dog trailers are easily able to cope with the demands of fuel supply and constant reliable power for crew and client requirements.

Our fleet of state of the art equipment ensures versatility and continuity of drilling operations. Our aim is to alleviate the pressure of working remotely, by ensuring that our crews have access to luxuries

such as TV, wireless network and telephone anywhere in Australia. Accommodation can be supplied for our clients upon request. Fully self-sufficient
