Changes with Apple’s latest release
• iPhone 5 • iOS 6 (Panoramic Camera, Ribbons etc) • Marketing Attribution (Advertising Identifier) - We’ll touch on briefly
• App Store - Focus of today’s brief presentation - Come talk to us about the new app marketing
opportunities that exist as a result of any of the other changes above
Advertising Identifier
• New Apple-sanctioned attribution to replace the UDID - Intended specifically for advertising
• Preferred from a privacy perspective - Not definitively tied to the hardware –
anonymous - Can be erased by user
• Similar implementation to the UDID - Easy for ecosystem to implement
• Adoption will be quick (but not overnight)
