A message romProessor Pete DunleavyDean of Science and Engineering/

    Pro-Vice-Chancellor,

    Manchester Metropolitan University

It is my pleasure to introduce a new study option

or uture Engineers to obtain a British degree

    at PSB Academy. Manchester Metropolitan

University (MMU) has developed a portolio o

mechanical and electrical engineering courses to

provide you with the knowledge and skills to work

in the exciting global industry o Engineering.

We have also created a system o exibility that

will allow you to complete your MMU degree

locally, here at PSB Academy, or be able to join

the later stages o the course in Manchester, one

o the UKs most popular study destinations.

Our University shares the same vision and ambition

as PSB Academy to ensure that students who

study these courses receive the hands-on training

that are both challenging to students and prized

by employers. The well-equipped electrical and

mechanical labs at PSB Academy will enable

students to make applied use o the skills they

develop while studying an MMU Bachelors o

    Engineering degree.

We expect that you will fnd these courses

academically challenging as well as proessionally

rewarding. I would like to wish you success in

    your academic and proessional aspirations.

Manchester Metropolitan University was awarded university status in 1992 and is part of

the largest higher education campus in the UK and one of the most extensive education

centres in Europe. With a history dating back 150 years, it has a combination of the

traditional and the contemporary that sets MMU apart and gives its distinct character.

Manchester Metropolitan University is the largest campus-based undergraduateuniversity in the UK with a total student population of more than 37,000. Its claim is to be

the University for World Class professionals with an emphasis on vocational education

    and employability.

The University was initially developed as a centre of Technology, Art and Design from

Manchester Mechanics Institution (1824) and Manchester School of Design (1838).

Later Schools of Commerce (founded 1889), Education (f. 1878) and Domestic Science

    (f. 1880) were added along with colleges at Didsbury, Crewe, Alsager and the former

Domestic and Trades College (f. 1911), latterly Hollings College. The painter L. S. Lowry

attended the art school in the years after the First World War where he was taught by

    the noted impressionist Adolphe Valette.

#MMU is the UKs most popular University as measured by undergraduate

    applications in the 2011 intake.

More than 1,000 courses and qualications, the majority of which have a

    strong professional bias

This insurance protection servesto protect the students ees in the event a private educationinstitution (PEI) is unable to continue operations due to insolvency,and/or regulatory closure. Furthermore, the FPS protects thestudent i the PEI ails to pay penalties or return ees to the studentarising rom judgements made against it by the Singapore courts.

The FPS is compulsory or all local and international studentstaking programmes in PEIs seeking EduTrust certifcation. FPS isapplicable to all programmes with a programme duration o morethan one month or 50 hours. Students enrolled in the programmeswill be required to pay ees or FPS which varies depending on theinsured programme ees.

    Medical Insurance

PSB Academy provides group hospital and surgical insurance to all itsstudents (except those specifcally allowed to opt out under EduTrustCertifcation guidelines).
