In a world with growing energy demand, Mozambique LNG is emerging as a global leader, developing the country’s first onshore LNG Park. With approximately 75 trillion cubic feet of recoverable natural gas discovered in Offshore Area 1, the Mozambique LNG Project represents an extraordinary opportunity to meet increasing world demand for a sustainable, reliable and cleaner source of energy.

Mozambique LNG’s Strategic Advantage Mozambique LNG is working to advance a large-scale LNG park on the Afungi peninsula in Cabo Delgado province of northern Mozambique. The project features a number of competitive advantages that make it a strategic greenfield development:

Location: Direct shipping routes to global customers in the Atlantic and Asia Pacific markets, as well as growing opportunities in the Middle East and Indian sub-continent.

Deliverability: Highly productive subsea wells capable of flowing between 100 and 200 million cubic feet of natural gas per day.

Timing: Well positioned to deliver LNG early next decade to take advantage of a projected sweet spot in global supply and demand.

Anadarko, as Operator, and the participants in Mozambique LNG are committed to working collaboratively with the Mozambican government and communities to safely develop these natural gas resources in a manner that protects the environment, encourages additional foreign investment and contributes to the long-term economic stability of the region.

A World-Class Subsea DevelopmentMozambique LNG is one of the first subsea developments in Mozambique. Its close proximity to shore will enable these prolific subsea wells to be tied directly to shore via a subsea gathering system. This gathering system will be capable of handling 2 billion cubic feet per day of natural gas and will be a world-class for deepwater sub-sea development.
