ABSTRACT

• We are developing an indoor navigation system for the visually impaired on an Android device using Bluetooth beacons and incorporating sensor data from accelerometer and magnetometer. The development is split into two major modules: the first module handles localization data while the second handles user interface (UI), data structure, and algorithm for routing.

RESULT• Data: Tested result shows that we can obtain

accuracy of 3 meters.

• UI : User interface which has search feature and path-to-path guide.

CONCLUSION

• There are still more components to be added based on our current progress. While the actual functioning of the system depends on the localization accuracy, the user interface and data structure plays a very important role in maintaining robustness. The UI will be focused for accessibility, specifically for the visually impaired.
