DUTIES OF FLOOR WARDENS The Floor Warden should be familiar with :-

Fire Alarm / Emergency Warning System Entry / Exit Points Emergency Stair Case / Alternative Escape Routes Complete Layout of Floor. Operation of Access Control Doors Location of Fire Extinguishers / other Fire Fighting

Equipment on the Floor Names and Mobile Nos. of all Staff Members on the

floor Details about mobility-impaired persons on the

floor On being informed about the fire, contact the

DUTIES OF FLOOR WARDENS Assess situation with Fire Fighting Party and

inform the Control Room. Inform the Floor above and below. Help Fire Fighting Party in extinguishing fire if it

is in initial stage. Start process of evacuation as per instructions

of Control Room. Ask the occupants to go to desired staircase

and proceed to the Ground Floor Assembly Area.

If it is not possible to go to ground floor, go to Refuge Area on 7th Floor or 4th Floor whichever is nearer. Contd…

DUTIES OF FLOOR WARDENS

Get the floor checked with the help of Rescue Party.

Assist Needy. Assist Visitors, if any. Check Toilets, Store Room, Conference Room

etc. Salvage important Documents, if possible. Move to Assembly Area. Give correct Parade State / Head Count to

ensure that every body is accounted for.
