The Upblast Centrifugal Fan provides a verticaldischarge high above the roof protecting roofsurfaces from contaminant build-up and preventingcontamination of air brought in by nearby intakes. Itssuitability in applications such as commercial kitchens, chemical process and laboratories is enhanced by a legion of useful features integrated intoits design.

POSITIVE MOTOR VENTILATION

Quietaires unique design provides a second impeller,integral with the fan impeller hub. This impellerdraws large amounts of fresh air into the separatemotor compartment, cooling the motor and driveassembly while insuring complete isolation from theexhaust air stream. Positive motor ventilation enablesthe use of cost effective open motors in the mostdifficult environments.

ROOF CURBS

Roof curbs Models JCFAG galvanized and JCFAA

aluminum are of welded construction with 1½”fibrglasJnsulation and wood nailer. Standard

heights are 8” and 12” with custom heights

available.

For pitched roofs pitched curbs are available

with standard cant for minor slopes (to approximately 2” per ft.) or “self-flashing” wide flange

without cant for steeper pitches.

Roof curb modifications include a metal liner toprevent contamination of the insulation, raisedcant for use with insulated roof decks and adamper shelf to support a backdraft damperinside the curb.

BACKDRAFT DAMPERS

Quietaire Model QDHAA automatic gravity dampers are

available to prevent backflow when units are shutdown. Damper frames are heavy duty box type.Blades are aluminum with felt edges and are linkedtogether for quiet operation. A counterbalancespring is adjustable for tension to provide minimumresistance to air flow.

Motorized operation (JDHAM) may be provided byadding the motor pack available for 115 or 208/230volt operation. Transformers are available for 460volt operation.

ACID RESISTANT COATING

Quietaire’s ACID RESISTANT COATING consists of a two component catalyst based, modified epoxy polyamid finish

over primer. It is a universal corrosion resistant finish for roof ventilation applications where acids, alkalies, salts or

solvents are mixed with exhaust air from laboratory hoods, industrial processes, battery rooms and other

applications.

PRIME COAT

Quietaire’s PRIME COAT finish is electro coated on small sizes and sprayed on largesizes. The prime coat provides a

base for field painting to match background paint colors.

Warranty and Disclaimer Quieraire Corporation extends this limited warranty to the original buyer and warrants that products manufactsred by Quietaire shall be free from original defects is workmanship”—..

and materials for ose year from date of shipment, provided same have bees properly stored, installed service, maintained and operated. This warranty shall sot apply to products which have bees altered or

repaired 5 any way so as to effect its performance, without Quietaire’s express authorization, or altered or reliabilrty, nor which have been improperly installed or sub1ected to misuse, negligence, or acci

dent, or incorrectly used in combination with other substances. The Buyer assumes all risks and liability for results of, use of the products. Warranties on purchased parts, such as electric motor and cost’ols

are limited to she terms of warranty extended by our supplier.

Limitation Of Remedy And Damages: All claims under this warranty must be made is writing and delivered to Qsietaire Corporation 505 North Nutcheson, Hountos, Texas 77053 within 15 days after

discovery of the defect and prior to the espiration of one year from the date of shipment by Quietuire of the product claimed defective. and Buyer shall be barred from any remedy if Buyer fails to wake such

claim within such period

Within 30 days after receipt of a timely claim, Quietuire shall have the option either to inspect the product while is Buyer’s possession or to request Buyer to return the product to Osietaire at Buyer’s eupense

for inspection by Quietaire. Qsietaire shall replace, or at its option repair, free of charge, any product it determines to be defective, and it shall ship the repaired or replacement product to Buyer FOB. point

of shipment; provided, howeser, if circumstances are such as Quietaire isdgwvrit to prohibit repair or replacewent to remedy the warranted defecw, the buyer’s sole and exclusive remedy shalt be a refund to

the buyer of any part of the invoice price, paid to Ouietaire for the defective prsduct or part.

Quietaire is not responsible for the cost of removal of the defective product or part, damages due to removal, or any expenses incurred in shipping the product or part to or from Osietaire plant, or the is

stallatios of the repaired or replaced product or part.

Implied warranties, whes applicable, shalt commence upon the same date as the express warranty provided above, and shall except for warranties of title, extend only for the duration of the express warranty

provided above. Some states do not allow limitations on how losg an iwotied warranty lasts, so the above liwitation way not apply to you. The only remedy provided to you under as applicable implied war

ranty and the express warranty shall be the remedy provided under the express warranty, subject to the terms and cosditions contained therein. Osretai’e shall not be liable for incidental and consequential

losses and damages under the express warranty, any applicable implied war-arty, or claims for negligence, except to the extent that his limitation is found to be unenforceable under apolicable state law.

Some states do not allow exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above liwitation or exclusion may not apply to you. The warranty gives you specific iegal rights, and you may

also have other rights which vary trom state to state.

No employee, agent, dealer, or other person is authoriced to give any warranties or behalf of Osieteire or to assume forOuietaire any othe’ iiabii’ty ix connection with any slits products esceot is writing and

signed by an officer of Ouietaire.
