1.What´s the Modernism?Modernism as a literary movement reached its height in

Europe between 1900 and the middle 1920s.

Modernistic art and literature normally revolved around the idea of individualism, mistrust of institutions and the disbelief of any absolute truths.

Aestheticism is a movement that belongs to modernism. It emphasized aesthetic values more than socio-political themes for literature, fine arts and decorative arts.

The use of the line curls and the asymmetry.A strong trend to the use of feminine images.An attitude tending to the sensuality and to the

complacency of the senses.The freedom in the use of motives of exotic type.
