Description of Practices: This strategy is best used for conflict resolution. Students must follow a set of procedures in order to come to a resolution.

Procedures:1. Explain when there is a conflict, there is a

problem. 2 .When trying to resolve conflicts, it helps to

have a way to think about the problem and attempt to solve it.

3. Steps for Resolution- Define the problem. Brainstorm solutions. Choose a solution and act on it.

Be sure to mention: Who ever has a conflict must agree to work it

out

The key is to SOLVE the issue not ESCALATE(make it worse) it

Come up with as many possible solutions

Do not play the BLAME GAME

Description of Practices: Acting out conflicts utilizes problems solving skills to “act out” or “model” resolving a problem. In addition this strategy can be used to demonstrate feelings, thoughts, and ideas in a healthy and safe manner.

Description of Practices: The strategy is used to write and draw out a plan for resolving an issue or completing a task. The chart maps out what should be done 1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc. In addition, using the chart enables each party to say and write out their perspective, ideas, thoughts, and feelings.
