SEOUL

SEOUL

The Han River, which runs through the center of the city, is a distinctive landscape of Seoul that offers a myriad of recreation areas for

citizens and tourists. Seoul city is divided into 2 parts by Han River. The northern part is known as Gangbuk which is the older part of

city with main downtown, govt. offices and sightseeing attractions. The southern part is known as Gangnam – the famous area from

song “Gangnam Style”. It is the new part of Seoul and is the most high-end and posh location of the country. Population of Seoul is 10-

15 million.

The main airport in South Korea is Incheon International Airport which is located at 1 hr driving distance from Seoul city. It is awarded

Also known as the ‘Manhattan of

Korea’, this small island on the River

Han, houses the National Assembly

(Parliament of Korea), Head Quarters

Busan

Busan, South Korea's second largest city and the number one trading port, is situated on the most south-eastern portion of the South South Korean peninsula. South Korea's first truly international city, Busan is adjacent to the South South Korean Straits and Japan and this strategic location brings about an interchange of trade and tourism.Busan is a hub for International events like 2002 14th Asian Games, the final match of the South Korea/Japan World Cup and since 1995 has annually hosting the Busan International Film Festival. HAMDEOK BEACH

Hamdeok Beach, famous for its clean and shallow

Jeju East Coast Tour

MANJANGGUL CAVE

Manjanggul Cave, a UNESCO World Heritage

Site, is one of the finest lava tunnels in the

structures inside including a 70 cm lava

Only 1 km of the 13,422 m long Manjanggul

Cave is open to tourists. A striking formation

Seongsan Ilchulbong Sunrise Peak is the most

Jusangjeolli Cliff is a designated

cultural monument of Jeju. It was

Mountain erupted into the sea of

Jungmun. They are rock pillars shaped

GYEONGJU

Ancient capital city of 1000 yrs long Silla

Dynasty of South Korea, Gyeongju is

museum’ or ‘Outdoor Museum’. Gyeongju

holds more tombs, temples, rock carvings,

pagodas, Buddhist statuary and palace

ruins than any other place in South Korea.

round grassy tombs – called tumuli – and
