WEB BLOGS- one of the new trends used as online interactive learning experience

-new environments where cognitive exchange and dialogue can take place

- innovative platforms to extend and enrich the exchange of ideas and information between teacher/facilitator and the learners/students.

At the end of the module, participant is expected to:

1.identify various forms of blogs offered at different web sites.

2.apply and integrate the use of blogs in their teaching practice.

3.create learning portfolios of students and professional teaching portfolios.

Learning Objectives: 

Procedure in obtaining a Blog:

1. The student must have an existing email address. If none do the following steps:

A. Double Click Internet Explorer

B. Type in www.yahoo.com in the address.

C. Click Mail

D. Click Sign UP

E. Fill in the needed data.

Use Yahoo Philippines

F. After entering the data,

Click I Agree

G. After the registration is complete take note of your Yahoo Mail Address and Password.

 A. Double Click Internet Explorer.

2. To acquire a Web Blog.

B. Type in www.blogger.com in the Address.

C. Click CREATE YOUR BLOG

D. Use the acquired Yahoo Mail Address to fill in the email address for Blog. Fill in

the needed data and Click Continue.

E. Fill in the Blog Title and Blog Address. Then Click CONTINUE.

F. Click a Template and Click CONTINUE.

G. Click Start Posting.

H. In this window, you can publish an activity for your students

to view and interact with. 

I. To set students to view and add comment on the said activity,

Click SETTINGS, then PERMISSIONS. Add Authors or Blog Readers.

 

3.   To Sign In a Web Blog Account 

A. Double Click Internet Explorer

B. Type in www.blogger.com in the Address Box.

 

C. Enter your Username & Password

Procedure: 1. Sign In to your Yahoo Mail Account.

2. Look for the Invitation to read a Web Blogin the Inbox. Click the following

Blog Portfolio Blog Portfolio Blogging is one of the valuable tool in the 21st

century for it provides deeper understanding of ethnical culture by incorporating an iterative method of research, reflection and action process. Teachers being the implementers of learning should provides lessons that are not only confined in the four corners of the room but gives opportunity for students to explore, create, innovate and share.

This project helps students develop their creativity, research and writing ability, enhances environmental awareness, leadership, social responsibility, initiatives as well as better technological and communication skills.

RULES in CREATING BLOGSITE

• Take photos or video of your team while conducting the activity

• Upload your videos in Google Video or You Tube, then embed it in

your blogsite. For instructions on how to upload and share video

go to google video site

• Create a blog site un multiple, wordpress, tumblr, blogspot.com ,

ning, blogpatrol etc. that you are comfortable with.

• The team must obtain all necessary permissions and rights

including copyright of all sources, people, music, images/graphics

and other other materials mentioned, showed or used in the

blogsite.

• Your blog HOMEPAGE must contain the following text: We are

MSU BSED EDTECH B STUDENTS!. This blog site is a partial

requirement for Educational Technology B subject with the
