    MODULE FOR LANGUAGE CAMP (Arabic language)

    Grouping

    1. The Head Facilitator will ask students to count from one until five.2.

    The group is determined by the number that the students have. (e.g students that havenumber five belongs to group five)

    3. The formed group will be given time to create their group name, theme and explain thereason that they choose the name.

    Choral Speaking

    1. The students create the choral speaking based on the theme Arabiyah mumtiah (Arabic isFun)

    2. The students will practice the choral speaking and perform it.3. The invited guest (VIP) will comment on the performance made by the students.

    Poem recitation

    1. A poem will be distributed to every group2. The member of the group must recite the poem based on their creativity and understanding.3. They will be given time to discuss and to recite the poems.4. They will present their idea in front of other group.

    Writing a short story

    1. Every student must write a simple story or short story based on the theme Talim lughahArabiyah.

    2. They must tell about themselves, what inspired them to teach Arabic and why they want toteach Arabic.

    3. Their simple story will be collected.4. The head facilitator will choose the participant name randomly and ask him/her to read the

    essay.

    Guess the word.

    1. There will be five themes which are Places, IIUM, Education, Equipments and Animals.2. Each group will pick the theme randomly.3. In every theme there are five words that must be guess by the member.4. The marks are given based on the number of question answered correctly.

    Broken Phone

    1. A group will form a line2. The first person will hear the phase and convey it to the next person.3. The next person will try to write the phase and convey it to the person next to him.4. It will continue to the last person. The last person will come to the font and write the phase.5.

    The facilitator will reveal the actual text and the participant will compare the text.

    6. The marks will be deducted based on the mistakes made by the participant.

    Role-Play

    1. The students are free to choose any topic for the role-play.2. They will be given time to discuss about the role-play.3. The students will present their role-play in front of every group.

    Create Vlog

    1. Students will be given task to create vlog based on their creativity.2. They are free to choose any topic for the vlog.3. The vlog must be between five to seven minutes and every member of the group must

    speak.

    Poem recitation

    5. A poem will be distributed to every group6. The member of the group must recite the poem based on their creativity and understanding.7. They will be given time to discuss and to recite the poems.8. They will present their idea in front of other group.

    1. There will be five check points.2. The first check point in Broken Phone.

    3. The second is Spell-it-Right.a. Every member will be given a wordb. They have to spell the word correctly.c. If one person fails, they have to do it again with the different word.d. The succeeded group will continue to the next checkpoint.

    4. The third is Crossword Puzzlea. The group will be given a puzzle and a set of words.b. They have to find the hidden words in the puzzle given.c. The group that finishes first will proceed to the next checkpoint.

    5. The fourth is tongue twister.a. The group will be given a phase and all members must pronounce the word correctly

    for them to continue to the next checkpoint.

    6. The fifth is Idioms.a. One member will be asked an idiom question one at a time.b. The question will be same to every member of the group.c. The group that are successfully answer the question will continue to the next check

    point.

    7. The first group that completed all check points will be the winner.
