I consider myself as a self-motivated and confident team player. I am a hardworking, open-minded and flexible person.
SynopsisNine years professional operator experience in Gulf-of-Suez oil fields with Suez Oil Company an Egyptian (EGPC) -German (RWE Dea) Joint Venture, one of the major joint venture oil companies in Egypt. Actively involved in all aspects of reservoir management, field study work and production technology of three mature offshore oil fields. Dealing with a variety of challenges ranging from complex geology, reservoir heterogeneity to artificial lift trouble shooting and optimization. Experience gained in carbonate fields (Ras Fanar and Zeit Bay) as well as sandstone (Ras Budran) and fractured basement (Zeit Bay). Recommended and planned several successful workover activities including re-perforations and water shut offs as well as stimulation and scale inhibition /removal jobs. Expert with all major aspects of reservoir and production engineering duties such as material balance, reservoir simulation, well testing, decline curves, reserves estimation and field performance monitoring. Also gained experience in petrophysics, production logging and economic evaluation.
PROFESSIONAL ACHIEVEMENTSSENIOR RESERVOIR ENGINEER (2009 – present)SUEZ OIL COMPANY (SUCO)
Team leader for a team of 2 reservoir engineers in charge of supporting oil field (Zeit Bay); responsibilities / achievements include the following :
Reservoir monitoring (pressures, oil rates, gas rates, gas injection rates, water cut and lift performance).
Recommended several work-over campaigns (water isolation, cement squeeze jobs, additional perforations).
Proposed successful infill wells in Zeit Bay and Ras Fanar fields resulting in additional of oil production.
Conducted a material balance study to investigate the optimum gas reinjection rate for pressure support and to determine the timing of a future gas-cap blow down scenario for Zeit Bay filed
Monitoring gas injection wells performance and recommend the remedial actions to optimize GI/GP whether by controlling injection gas volumes or minimizing excessive gas production (gas shut-off jobs).
Build a data base model for Zeit Bay field including the important data of the field as well names, deviation surveys, formation tops, production rates and pressure data by using OFM program (oil field manager) also Updating the production data in daily, weekly and monthly bases
Proposed and analyzed several programs of well testing for the Zeit Bay field (PBU, SPT and SFPT) and initiate remedial action based on the interpretation.
Preparing a complete portfolio (distribution for the oil water contact and gas oil contact over all the field depending on the wells performance and the cement condition in order to know and estimate the un swept areas).N.B, success wells had been drilled in ZB filed based on the portfolio
Responsible for the reserves update and coordinated parts of the company’s annual Reserves report and the annual reservoir management report. (according to our company and our department policy which is selected on of the team leaders for the three fields to be a focal point during the end of the budget year for the reports)
Performing a complete well review with the objective of evaluating well and field performance to increase the production by recommending short and long-term remedial actions.
team member of the reservoir simulation group for construct an integrated reservoir study for the Zeit Bay field
Inter-acting with different departments and teams (e.g. drilling, production technology and exploration) to optimize well operations and to discuss the well locations especially for the new wells
Have an experience in the fractured basement reservoir Recommended a successful work over proposal over the fractured basement which increased the
oil production nearly by +/- 30% Have an experience in the carbonate formations and we succeeded to produce from the Kareem
Limestone formation which never produced during the last 30 years and increased the oil production nearly by +/- 50% with just performing a rig-less work overs for B platform wells in Zeit Bay filed (isolation, peroration and stimulation).
Team leader for reservoir management study for ZB field
team member in LRP project (Lift remaining potential ) responsible for all the action required regarding to ZB field in order to increase the oil productio
RESERVOIR ENGINEER (2007-2009)
Zeit Bay Field
Team member in reservoir management team with the following duties: Monitoring and optimize the gas re-injection rate and by conducting work-over in high GOR wells to
conserve the reservoir energy and prevent aquifer water production. Preparing routine monthly and annual reservoir performance reports. Propose and coordinate work-over programs with oil field service companies to select the most
appropriate methods and technologies. Design and analyze pressure build-up surveys and initiate remedial action based on the
interpretation. In cooperation with production technology department analyzed static and flowing pressure
surveys to evaluate and optimize gas lift performance.
RESERVOIR ENGINEER (2005-2007)
Ras Fanar Field and Ras Budran Field
Team member in reservoir management team with the following duties: Monitoring production data for both of ESP and Gas lift wells in addition to reservoir pressure
profile. Preparing routine monthly and annual reservoir performance reports. In cooperation with production technology department analyzed static and flowing pressure
surveys to evaluate and optimize gas lift performance.
Reservoir Modeling and Simulation Work Dynamic modeling:
Using Eclipse 100 black oil and Petrel-RE reservoir simulators in addition to Eclipse Office, Floviz & Schedule modules.
Initiating an OFM project for Zeit Bay field and Ras Fanar field and exported the data in a suitable format to be imported into ECLIPSE schedule module.
Calibrating simulations models by performing history matching runs and estimating uncertainties in output.
Reserve Assessment and Production Profile Forecast Estimation of STOOIP by volumetric and by material balance calculation. Also experience in
decline curve analysis. Preparing annual reserve reports, reservoir management reviews and monthly/annual routine
reports.
Well Test Analysis Preparing and executing programs for various types of well testing (PBU, SFPT and SPT) and
planning remedial action based on results. Using SAPHIRE software for PBU design and test interpretation. Preparing a comprehensive data acquisition plan to improve reservoir monitoring in Zeit Bay field.
Material Balance Work Application of MBAL Software to construct a tank model for Zeit Bay field. Reservoir pressure and
fluid contacts were used as history matching criteria to study various ‘WHAT-IF’ scenarios to determine a suitable time to evacuate the gas cap.
Open Hole Logs Using ELAN and composite logs for defining suitable perforation intervals, reservoir lithology and
petrophysical reservoir parameters.
Field and Well Performance Review Preparing routine field and well review reports, determine required surveys and plan rig-/rigless
well interventions. Preparing infill well proposals (technical and commercial). Preparing a complete portfolio (distribution for the oil water contact and gas oil contact over all the
field depending on the wells performance in order to know and estimate the un swept areas).N.B, more than four success wells had been drilled in ZB filed based on the portfolio
