Board Director and President & CEO of YASREFMohammed AlShammariMohammad S. AlShammari has over 30 years of experience within Saudi Aramco, where he has worked in many entrepreneurial and leadership capacities. Consequently, his work with many of Saudi Aramco’s partners has allowed AlShammari to develop a strong commercial, strategic, and managerial business acumen. Since 2012, he has been the President & CEO and Board Member of the Yanbu Aramco Sinopec Refining Co. (YASREF) Ltd.

AlShammari holds a BS degree in Civil Engineering from KFUPM (1981) and an MS Degree in Construction Management (Minor International Finance) from Oregon State University (1985). He also successfully completed his Executive Business Administration at Harvard Business School (2004).

AlShammari completed a number of assignments with the departments of Engineering, Project Management and Corporate Planning. He was also a project engineer on the development of the Central Arabia (Hawtah) Field, Supervisor of the Oil and Gas Estimating Unit, General Supervisor of the Estimating Services Division, Manager for the Gasoline Facilities and Light-ends in the Rabigh Refinery Upgrade Project, Senior Representative in Hong Kong and China, Director of the JV Development & Support Department, and led the sale of the Saudi Aramco share in Motor Oil Hellas in Greece. In addition, he became the President and CEO of the Saudi Refining Inc., and Director of Joint Implementation Program, where he led the business development of the Sadara JV with Dow. As Team Manager, AlShammari was responsible for the development of the Saudi Aramco Refining and Marketing Strategy up to 2030.
