Solution: Devise a weighted scoring system for evaluation and assessment of the vendor responses to the subject DW/BI RFP
Role: Proposing the elements of the scoring system based on technical and commercial considerations for the different contenders for this business, execute the evaluation process, call for clarifications and vendor solution/proposal presentations and make recommendations accordingly

that covers physical, information and IT security Solution: Based on ISO 17799 security policy and internal central bank
regulations and mandates, the subject SFUG document was prepared in Draft version for CBJ adoption
Role: Development of the SFUG document depending on the subject ISO 17799 policy, internal documentation, interviews with key positions in the bank as well as physical site visits and inspections.
Client : Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority Customs Year: 2007 Project: ICT/IS integration platform for ASEZA Customs automation Purpose: To help ASEZA customs develop the technical platform for
special automation RFP of the customs operations including special communication and instrumentation tools
Solution: A high-level technical architecture specification was developed for the automation, integration and optimization of the ASEZA customs operation based on UNTCAD/ASSYCUDA system
Role: conducted the full assignment including talks and negotiations with local (vendors/Jordan Customs) and international (UN) agency.
Client : Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority Year: 2007 Project: ASEZA ICT/IS Strategy Review (2007 – 2012) Purpose: To revise the ASEZA/MIS strategy for 2007-2012 Solution: A comprehensive strategy review was conducted using MV-
DMD/MV-BTC methodologies and other MV internal techniques and tools including SWOT analysis for ASEZA internally and in comparison to neighboring competition.
Role: conducted the full review leading towards the revised ICT/IS strategy and action roadmap for top management review and consideration.

Microsoft technologies and platforms, launch these applications Government of Jordan ministries, and expand the use throughout ME/NA region.
Solution: Select target applications, decide on desired functionality, size the effort, recognize the assets value in these applications, estimate revenues, costs and profits over the estimated lifetime of these new applications
Role: local consultant role to work with the deisgnated team on this study and produce the desired report
Client : US ARMY, Washington, USA Year: 2006 Project: AES-256 based voice encryption (world first) Purpose: To design, develop and build special wireless radio
communications utilizing AES-256 based encryption Solution: a design team was established to develop the encryption
software, and prototype wireless communication devices were built in Raleigh, NC to show the solution
Role: Technical advisor and design facilitation consultant for the overall project including activities in Jordan and in Raleigh North Carolina.
Client : New York Ports Authority, NW, USA Year: 2006 Project: Open Safe Commerce (OSC) Initiative Purpose: To secure imports from a list of selected countries where US
imports goods from; Jordan included. Solution: for container shipments, a special custom-built “black-box” was
used to host a variety of sensory and communication devices to sense, monitor, measure, record and transmit any ‘abnormal’ conditions inside the container throughout the whole journey.
Role: work with local (Jordan) government (customs) and private entities (exporters) to ensure acceptance, understanding and proper dealing with this solution.
Client : Egyptian Arab Land Bank (EALB), Amman-Jordan Year: 2003 Project: Quick overall IT review Purpose: To help EALB review its internal IT status in terms of hardware,
software, technology obsolescence, in house skills, network/system management and work environment
Solution: The subject IT review was conducted on-site at the bank HO and it included site visits to sample branches, tailored questionnaires forms and meetings/interviews with key staff positions in the bank
Role: Full preparation and execution of the engagement leading to the formulation of the quick IT review report, findings and recommendations.
Client : Saudi Airlines Catering (SVCAT), Jeddah, KSA Year: 1999 Project: Y2K contingency planning (business and IT) Purpose: To ensure continued operations - even at degraded levels – to
provide contracted services to airlines using Jeddah and Riyadh airports catering units
Solution: Scenario-driven risk identification, impact assessment, mitigation actions Comprehensive contingency plan preparation for all sections and services
Role: Full execution of the engagement across the entire SVCAT business model / organization. Development of the contingency plan and training/rehearsal on its execution.
Client : Saudi Airlines Catering (SVCAT), Jeddah, KSA Year: 1999 Project: Y2K application/data remediation Purpose: This was a saving effort for a well-known Saudi company to
move forward with the Y2K remediation efforts for applications and data on IBM AS/400 systems
Solution: A US specialized company was brought into the picture and through their AS/400 migration tools, we were able to deliver in 10 days what was not possible other wise in 40 days and more
Role: I was the maestro of the whole effort between Jeddah, Amman and NJ, USA
Client : Islamic Development Bank (ISDB), Jeddah, Saudi Arabia Year: 1999 Project: Y2K external review/audit and testing Purpose: To help ISDB IT department ensure their Y2K remediation was
conducted at its best including full system testing end-to-end. Solution: Complete review of the application portfolio of the bank, Y2K
remediation efforts, baseline input/output data and results, test scenarios and procedures, test data and expected results at all possible test points in the Y2K transaction path.
Role: Full preparation and execution of the subject engagement .
Client : Islamic Development Bank (ISDB), Damascus, Syria Year: 1999 Project: Y2K “contingency planning” awareness workshop for ISDB
member countries Purpose: To help ISDB member countries (19 English speaking countries)
become fully aware of the need for Y2K contingency planning (Plan-B) Solution: A complete 3-days workshop material was prepared and the
course was given to country representatives of the nineteen ISDB member countries
Role: Full preparation and of the course materials and execution/delivery of the course.
Client : Saudi Aramco (CC&OS) tower Year: 1993 Project: IBM 3172-001 LAN Gateway Implementation Purpose: To install totally redundant, fault tolerant and workload sharing LAN
Gateway to IBM S/370 mainframes Solution: A joint SBM/IBM LaGaude (France) implementation effort to
implement the required gateway function with specially configured IBM 3172-001 gateways with S/370 channel adapters and 4 token-ring adapters each.
Role: That project was part of a 3-months consultancy engagement in Saudi Aramco CC&OS side following a very strong endorsement from Aramco (Andy Tauros)
Client : Saudi Aramco (EXPEC) Year: 1994 Project: IBM 3745/3746 High-speed Fiber-Optic/Frame-Relay Wide Area
Network (WAN) Implementation Purpose: To install middle-east first high-speed WAN/LAN using fiber-optic
and frame relay network covering 5 major locations in Saudi Arabia using IBM 3745/3746 as Token-Ring to IBM S/370 mainframe gateways
Solution: IBM 3745/3746 gateways with wide-area, local area and mainframe connectivity and special fiber optic G.703 interfaces.
Role: Design/configuration of the IBM 3745/3746 gateways, pre-sales support, implementation and after sales technical support.
Focus Area: Public Private Partnership (PPP) ventures Description: Private sector steps in to cover for public sector shortages in
funding and/or technical/managerial capabilities to provide badly needed public services on win–win basis for both sectors. Government entities will fulfill their mission in availing such services to the public and private sector has a profitable investment throughout the operational license period.
