BIOGRAFY

• He was born on October 2, 1869• He lived in India, Porbandar• He was a pacifist, humanist and

independence Hindu leader.• He died in 1948 (at the age of 78) in Nova

Delhi (India), for a gunfire.

• Principally for defending the rights of the Indians and the independence from the United Kingdom.

• His fight for the Civil laws in South Africa: during the War Bóer, Gandhi organized a body of ambulances for the British army and directed a section of the Red Cross.

• Gandhi never managed to receive the Nobel Prize on the Peace, though it was nominated five times between 1937 and 1948.
