Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design (MOME)

Description MOME is a well established University of Art and

Design in the city of Budapest. MOME has a strong

tradition of stop-motion 2D and 3D animation

stretching back to the 1960’s and is well placed in a

city home to a thriving animation scene and an

internationally renowned centre for film special

effects. Incoming students are supported through a

buddy system.

Surrounding Area The towering spires and beautiful buildings of

Budapest rise up just beyond the Buda hills, on the

banks of the Danube River. Widely regarded as one

of the most gorgeous cities in Central Europe, the

city’s streets are adorned with fabulous baroque,

neoclassical and eclectic architecture. With it’s

burgeoning contemporary creative scene, art lovers

can find their fix with a trip to the city’s galleries

and studio spaces.

Accommodation Privately arranged - students are supported by the

local Erasmus Student Network in finding

accommodation.
