Oral Presentation Guidelines
• Do not simply read from the PowerPoint! – This is a boring and ineffective style of
presentation– Instead, glance at the screen or your notes but
Remember to maintain eye contact
Engaging Your Audience• Time:
–Keep presentations short and sweet! Most people can only concentrate for 10 minutes or less
• Utilize blank slides; bringing attention off the screen and back to you • Longer presentations; use interactive pieces:– Video – Audience discussion points
