QUICK REFERENCE GUIDE (FW v.2.1) Thank you for purchasing a new Crumar Mojo. This short guide will serve you as a quick reference for the basic operations. For more details, please browse the full manuals (also available at www.crumar.it ). CONNECTIONS AND STARTUP - Make all necessary AUDIO and MIDI connections prior to turning the instrument on. Use only the supplied AC adaptor. Connect the L/R Audio outputs to your speakers, the AC adaptor to the DC input, then press the POWER button once. Wait about 20 seconds while trying to play a note from time to time. As soon as you hear the sound coming out from the instrument, you need to SYNCHRONIZE the controller by means of the PRESET buttons . SYNCHRONIZATION AND PRESETS - Press a button from the UPPER PRESETS row and from the LOWER PRESETS row. Now the LEDs stop the initial animation and the internal software is synchronized with the controller. The presets numbered from 1 to 6 are user presets and don't take the drawbars position into consideration. If you want to use the drawbars, use the preset buttons labeled MANUAL . To save a preset, press the desired numbered button for about 2 seconds, the corresponding LED will turn off and then on again. MANUAL CANCEL/EXT. MODE - To activate the CANCEL state (manual mute) press and hold the desired MANUAL button for about one second. When the CANCEL mode is activated, the corresponding Manual LED flashes, the velocity feature is temporarily activated for that manual and the notes are sent to channel 4 (upper manual) or to channel 5 (lower manual). This function is useful for quickly switching between the internal sound and external MIDI modules connected to the MIDI OUT socket. FACTORY RESTORE – Press and hold both MANUAL buttons for one second. This will revert all EDIT parameters to the default values. EDIT MODE - press the SHIFT button, the corresponding LED blinks. In Edit Mode, the preset buttons will assume the following functions: UPPER ROW: 1 - Program Change CH.1 –1 (Change tonewheel generator, down to 1) 2 - Program Change CH.1 +1 (Change tonewheel generator, up to 20) 3 - Sustain pedal on CH.1 ON/OFF 4 – Expression pedal (CC #11) on CH.1 ON/OFF 5 - Transpose -1 semitone (LED indicates transpose is ON) 6 - Transpose +1 semitone (LED indicates transpose is ON) M - Rotary simulation ON/OFF (Turn it off if you are connecting a real rotary speaker ) LOWER ROW: 1 - Program Change CH.2 –1 2 - Program Change CH.2 +1 3 - Sustain pedal on CH.2 ON/OFF 4 - Expression pedal (CC #11) on CH.2 ON/OFF 5 - Rotary control via optional halfmoon switch or foot pedal ON/OFF (auto-set at startup) 6 - Keyboard velocity ON/OFF (ALWAYS KEEP IT OFF UNLESS YOU REALLY NEED IT ) M - Output split ON/OFF (Keep it off if you want normal stereo operation ) In Edit Mode, all knobs will assume the following functions (MIDI CC number): It's strongly adviced to keep these values at about 50%. Drive Crosstalk level (CC #91) Keyclick Keyclick length (CC #92) Reverb Reverb length (CC #93) Bass Rotary Balance (CC #94) Treble Percussion volume (CC #95) In Edit Mode, the Pedalboard drawbar 8' will control the Pedal string bass sustain length. VELOCITY SETTING: LED OFF = Velocity OFF; LED BLINK FAST = Velocity on upper manual only; LED BLINK SLOW = Velocity on lower manual only; LED ON = Velocity on both manuals. OUT SPLIT SETTING: Sim On, Split Off (LED off): Stereo simulation Sim On, Split 1 (LED blink): Stereo simulation Sim On, Split 2 (LED on): Bass on left out, Treble on right out Sim Off, Split Off: Dry organ + reverb on both outputs Sim Off, Split 1: Dry organ + reverb on left out, Mono sim on right Sim Off, Split 2: Dry organ on left output, reverb on right output PANIC / AUTOMATIC UPDATE: In EDIT mode press and hold the PEDALS TO LOWER button for 2 seconds and wait the controller to reboot, then SYNC again.
