Alex is our resident red head. He likes to skate, isknown to be random at times (okay, maybe most of the

time) and always seems to be in a good mood. He is

pretty excited that he started high school this year and

he took a few minutes after Fusion to sit down with me

to answer these 10 questions:

1. Paper or plastic?

Paper, because it is recyclable.

2. Do you have any brothers or sisters?

One brother, Ian he is 10 years old.

3. Would you rather go 3 days without food or 3 days without sleep?

Without sleep because I would get hungry

what is Small Group anyway? Is it just something you do because you have nothing else

to do at that time? Is it something you tolerate because you know you have to do it to be

able to do the stuff you really want to do? Is it something you look forward to because it

honestly does something for you?

Each of these answers are ones that you may have used or are using right now.

Whats wrong with these answers? You may say nothing, but I would challenge you toreally look at what is behind what you do and why you do it.

Last month I talked about walking your talk and how important it is to be

genuine about who you are and what you believe. Would you want a relationship with

someone who is not real and pretends to be someone they are not?

I am not crazy and I havent lost my mind (my hair yes, but not my mind). I would

really like for you to examine what it is that causes you to come to Fusion on Tuesday,

Momentum on Wednesday, Merge on Thursday, Friday Night Hangout or Worship and

Afterburn Discussion Crew on Sunday. Now, carry that one step further and ask yourself

why you are NOT coming to these small groups.

I love doing the bigger events like FUGE, Busch Gardens, D-Now, and Senior High

The Top 5

1.A couple of Fridays ago we met as group to discuss a name for the youth ministry.

Through a lot of discussion and some really good

suggestions we settled on the name Momentum. The choice

of this name is based on the fact that the Small Groups, Bible

Studies and Discipleship provides you with Momentum as

you continue your lifes spiritual journey.

2. Fusion (the discipleship class for 9th and 10th grade youth) has begun. I hope that you

see this as a great opportunity to focus your walk with Christ

through a series of six-week studies. Fusion meets Tuesday

afternoons from 5:00-600 pm.

3. Merge has begun as well and is a Bible Study and

Discipleship specifically for 17 -21 year old young adults.

This series will focus on discovering how the Holy Spirit

works through your lives daily and equips you to face spiritual battles as they Merge

5. Discipleship Now is an awesome event that we attended last year and are looking

forward to

again this
