This week, I had the privilege of visiting with a homebound couple that was part of our church family many years ago—before moving and living most of their lives in Florida. They once again reside in our area and are being cared for in a long-term care facility. While many years have passed, it is amazing to hear their stories of God’s faithfulness and their love for our church and the people that so generously invested in them long ago. Wow! What a tremen-dous testimony to the people of Hope that have come before us. Thankfully, that legacy of giving and life-changing ministry continues today. It is a tremendous gift that God has given us to pass on to those that would seek to follow Him. It is not a gift that has grown stale or cold, rather, it is one born out of a love for others and a deep desire to know Christ. Thank you. Thank you for being that person that gives of themselves so that others might draw closer to God. Thank you for living a legacy that is shaping today and tomorrow. Thank you for Being and Bringing Hope!

GLOBAL CONCERNS – BODY OF CHRIST Exploratory Visit Please pray for leaders on the Mesoamerica Region who make an exploratory visit to the Caribbean island of Curacao in mid-October to better know how the Church of the Nazarene can have a fruitful, meaningful relationship with the people of Curacao. As a part of the regional ministry initiative, GENESIS, Alphonso Porter, the English & Dutch field strategy coordinator, and other leaders have identified the island of Curacao as a country where the Church of the Nazarene currently does not have a ministry pres-ence. The English & Dutch Field is developing ministry strategies to build relationships with the people.

Final Hope Garden Harvest Report for 2012 The Hope Gardens had a very good year despite the intense heat and lack of rain. Total pounds harvested and donated to the Food for Thought pantry was 3,025.10. Thanks to all the great volunteers who helped lay the stone for the vertical grow system, set up the lines and filled the pots, tilled the garden, planted, weeded, set up the drip system, harvested, put up the new compost bins and dismantled the vertical grow

system. It was a very productive season!
