Annie tells us about her love for peanut butter. She starts off on her discovery of George Washington Carver.

George Washington Carver was born in 1864 in Missouri. George loved plant so much that he got the nickname “The Plant Doctor”. He became great at making sick plants well.

George could not get answers to all his questions about plants. He left his aunt and uncle’s farm at age 12 to go to school.

Here George starts school. George was a great student who asked lots of questions. He went to different schools to get as much information as he could!

George graduated high school and went to college. Even at college, George was one of the only students interested in learning about the science of plants.

George did tons of work with plants. He worked a lot with the peanut. Check out all these items that we get from peanuts thanks to George.

George was a very famous man because of his work with peanuts. Here he is with President Roosevelt.
