Excellence in Research for Australia
• An assessment system that evaluates research quality in
Australian universities.
• Administered by the Australian Research Council (ARC).
• Attempts to measure quality of research irrespective of
volume
• Outcomes are reported publically by the ARC, and each
eligible discipline submitted by the University is rated
using a five point scale, with the highest rating of ‘5’
indicating a discipline is ‘Well above World Standard’.
