My name is Benito Pérez Galdós. I was born in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, on 10th May in 1843. I was the youngest of 10 brothers. My parents were called Sebastian and Maria Dolores. Since I was a little boy, I loved reading, music and painting. I had a lot of fun making drawings, cut-offs and puppets. ____
