Activity 1 – Read the story Chicken’s Bad Dream
Chicken’s Bad Dream
One, chicken had a really bad dream. Bee was in her dream. He
was creeping up into her nest and stinging her!
Owl was in her dream. He was hooting at her very loudly indeed.
Snake was in her dream. She was bringing her baby snakes to
attach chicken.
Shark was in her dream. He swam out of the duck pond and came
to eat her.
Heron was in her dream. She leans over chicken as if she is
fishing with her sharp beak.
At the end, fox was in her dream. Then chicken wakes up!
She opens her wings and leaps into a tree. Whew! Just in time!
She is safe in the tree.
Activity 2 – discuss these questions with an adult. You don’t have to write the answers
down.
